Beginning of game wagon bug

I'm having this exact issue along with flickering textures and floating npc's. I've tried everything, deleting mods, modifying load order, changing iPresentInterval, turning on vsync in nvidia control panel, re-installing, turning in game anti-aliasing off and turning nvidia skyrim anti aliasing on, re setting refresh rate to 60, 80, 100, 120 and 144 and nothing has worked. Where on earth do I go from here? Refund? Give up Hope? Animal sacrifice? Is there anything left for me to try? I installed the alternate start mod to get around the bouncing, suicidal, non-corporeal horses but I am still stuck with the textures flashing.

I seem to have fixed the issue in the intro with my game by updating the Force Idles mod, as in updating the .exe, this fixed the messed up wagons that broke the game my first tries without the Force Idles mod.
Hope that helps!

That guide talks about video settings and FPS limiter to '58' if monitor is 60hz refresh max. Great guide.

OR use Alternate Start - Live Another Life - and put that at the end of the load order just above the bashed patch (or just above requiem.esp/requiem indifferent patch or perkus equivalent patch), note that LAL has choices presented to the player and it's vanilla start *(to just do the wagon sequence) also does not work, people typically run back to helgen to start the main quest. I'/ve done it many times - real timesaver, less boring, and stable.,

It's funny, I've come back to this game after being away for months - Fresh install - new mods - no ENB - this is no longer an issue - the flying cart thing made alternate start was my only option and even then my game was a joke in terms of reliability despite WEEKS of work on making sure I had applied every possible fix - at the time I then had a huge upgrade in PC terms and thought all would be solved, but no - no it wasn't.

Back now as I say - other than not being able to get Patchus Maximus to export without giving me a null error - the game runs so smoothly, no crashing unless I really provoke it (I mean give it no choice - I was stress testing and it will crash if I want it too)

My only difference is no enb - I'm not knocking ENB - it's why I didn't even consider removing it before - but after playing Fallout 4 without it I've come back to Skyrim - I've got every texture pack at full - and all the settings at max - running Multi Framed Sampled Anti-thingying and it's solid as a rock.

If only I could get PerMa to patch I'd be delighted - this never used to happen but now makes the game unplayable because without PerMa I don't care if it's Fiona Apple.

I think I'll go back to Fallout 4 in about an hour - I'm done waisting my life trying to make this work. I'm sick of guides and fixes that work for everyone else apart from me. It's ma ball and I'm going home!

Hmm, your recap reminds me of an earlier issue I had when I used an ENB that was incompatible with CoT and ELFX - I would start in the jail with the statue for Alternate Start and the game would crash as soon as I went to the bed to sleep. It wasn't until later that I noticed the plate that the statue is holding wasn't glowing and the whole jail cell was darker than usual. That's when I went back an re-read the ENB author's nexus page and realized that he stated right there on the page which specific weather mod had to be used with his ENB (in this case vivid or purity). After I made the necessary changes, all went smoothly after that.

Anything that increases or decreases the walk speed of movement types of playable races or horses will mess up the timing of the intro, which will include all the things you mentioned.

Sounds stupid but it is likely the cause of your trouble, I ran into this myself years back, drove me nuts figuring it out, when I found it, I was astonished and then laughed my ass off. This was done by deactivating mods one by one to find the ESP responsible, then category by category in that ESP to see what area of that ESP was causing it, narrowed it down to Movement Type and specifically the ones that playable races and horses use.

The fix is simple enough, you can make all the movement changes you want, just never the walk speed of playable races or horses. You can investigate with TES5Edit if you are unsure of which ESM or ESP mod is causing the problem, some mods have edits and changes they do not list in the description, basically every mod you download should be checked first in this manner unless the author is implicitly well known for good mod practices, like Arthmoor.

Whenever I start a new game, the intro starts but the carts aren't moving at all. the guys talk to me up untill "A nord's last thought should be of home", then it's complete silence and nothing happens.

ive completely un-installed all my mods with the moderator the nexus gives you and even deleted the moderator itself, deleted the game and reinstalled the entire game after restarting my computer and the cart still doesn't move at the very start of the intro, nothing moves but the npcs, any ideas? did the NMM uninstall it wrong? i downloaded a save file that got me past the cut scene and to the character creation and as soon as i got to when the dragon attacks everything locked up again. loading up an older save going tto meek the grey beards the snow troll was in Tpose as well as my downloaded follower but the mod thats sapossed to fix this didn't help it fixed the npcs but thats about it.

first of all i'd like to thank DCat99 for suggesting the skip scene for cart. i have this problem too. after i installed immersive Creature. i had infinite loading screen. then as usual i start new game, but........ this cr*zy cart was spinning around. so i searched for fixing it. then i found the mod cart fix or sos and tc. the other users fixed their problem with that mod. but for me still doesn't work. it just put me on the front of the cart but when we get through the gate it was closed. next thing i've done is disabling my mods, but still dont work for me. and at last!!. i saw DCat99's post i immediately download that mod. (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/3325/?tab=2&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fmodfiles%2F%3Fid%3D3325&pUp=1) and next here are the steps on how i fix it:

1. disable all mods except that quick start mod
2. open the game. start new game
3. create immediately (just click done) and get out of the cave
4. save the game. and then close your game
5. enable all your mods and open the game again
6. load your game. and that's it! fixed!

(careful in downloading a mod. because too much mod will ruin your game, just download what mod you need and you're fine.)

About the mad carriage in Helgen :

The Helgen sequence is heavily scripted, so as your game engine is quite busy, it could simply be the fact you have too much scripts running at the same time, at the beginning of the game, creating a latency that prevents the scripts in queue from working in due time.

/// 1 - You may use A workaround here

/// 2 - Untick from launcher / mod manager all your heavy mods BEFORE starting a new game, especially those using scripting. Keep those you use to create your character. Make a save and once the Helgen sequence is done and you're out, reactivate/install your mods.

/// 3 - You can instal LAL to avoid the vanilla start.

/// 4 - If unfortunately above things don't work, there are other leads in this topic...
- Make sure you have vsync turned on.
- Make sure your framerate isn't going above 60 - use a fps limiter or the ENB limiter included feature or using your graphic card utility if you experience problems with the ENB limiter.

/// 5 - Some of the skyrim.ini [papyrus] settings can have very bad effects on the way the game handle scripts, Read here why.
