EnaiSiaion
I hope you don't plan on making my little dragonborn carry that statue up th mountain. Hey, thanks for the idea! This statue looks amazing. :3 Btw. Any possiblity to add a global value that we could modify via console tied the Shouts cooldown? It would improve the compatybility between the mods that modify vanilla shouts. No, because cooldowns aren't scripted. :( -- So here's how you learn shouts! Make sure you read your word walls and put a dragon soul into the words you want. Then "all" you need to do is pray to Kyne and you gain the new shouts containing these words! http://i42.tinypic.com/2qmnbid.jpg The quotation marks indicate a minigame. When you sit down, you gradually start losing stamina (long meditation sessions without food and water will do that to you). Then after a few seconds you enter a trance and the HUD disappears. You now have to use your sense of timing to stop meditating at the correct time, which is when you are below 10% stamina. Too early and nothing happens (cue Zhar the Mad: WHO DARES INTERRUPT MY MEDITATION). Too late and you lose your concentration, which usually just stuns you but might summon a ringVoicewraith with tons of damage and the Wail of the Banshee shout: http://i42.tinypic.com/2ic5wlv.jpg Oh, and one more thing. This only works for the first word of each new shout. Of course, if you know Thunderbolt, that just means you only get 1/3 of the possible effects from each shout. How to get the next word? Gain favour with Kyne. This means various quests. You get them by reading books undecided. There are single shot ones like "Kyne thinks you're a chicken unless you Whirlwind Sprint off a cliff" and repeatable RP ones like (WIP) "shout to the sky every day, or once a week off that tower" and "follow Kyne's animals". Oh, and the mod comes with an immersion switch. Turn it on and the mod loses its "minigame" elements and becomes more realistic, for instance and you can't fail by meditating too long but it stops telling you when you gain favour with Kyne. I learned my lesson from the amount of bashing eaten by that one druid mod in top files.
Tykiii
It looks amazing. :3 Hehe... I think I won't be using this switch. I like more challenging games and hmmm... I don't really see why it would become less realistic with the minigame thing. :)
EnaiSiaion
While I'm sidetracked this week with RL stuff: what do you want to see in a shout mod that isn't yet in the original Thunderbolt?
Tykiii
Dragon reanimation shout. :3 Maybe some shout that summons a Deadra? Herma Mora themed shout. ;
jackowonderful
more weapon buff shouts.
Tykiii
Several other ideas: God themed shouts. They could have similar effects to the original Thunderchild shouts just be god themed. One for each god. Some new uses for Dragon Souls. Like:- Dragon Soul to perk mechanic. You can dual use Kyne altar for that.- Dragon Souls as requirements to smith some of the new artifacts you are planning to implement3. Necromancy shout. I know it is a part of an original Thunderbolt… thing is… I am thinking about something more than a normal reanimate spell. :-Maybe instead of reanimating corpses it could create spirits (with a large damage resist because they are incorporal) when you shout at the corpse?-Maybe first word would be for “storing a souls” from corpses. Second for releasing one stored soul as ghost. Third for releasing up to three stored souls as ghosts4. Something like an assassin shout. Something that allows you to sneak attack with shouts.5. I know that in original thunderbolt there already was a mechanic that allowed us to get more dragon souls but… hmmm… maybe instead of it… some way to smith souls from soul gems into a Dragon Soul? Like three dark filled soul gems for one Dragon soul?
Hallabalooga
Haven't used the original since I always found shouts to have an unnecesarry hassle to use - why do I have to wait untill it gets to the highest lvl? If it was possible to bind favourite shout along with the lvl of its power to a specific key, I would seriously consider using shouts for more that occational utility and fun. EnaiSiaion
Well, most of the Thunderbolt shouts do different things depending on how many words you use, so you don't have to "wait" at all. While shout-to-key probably requires some serious UI hacking, the opposite is planned: the Vocalize shout lets you save up to 3 spells and cast them instantly with no cast time. Dragon Souls to perks may be game breaking (and possibly incompatible with Dragonborn respec) and you can't consume them when smithing because they are not an item (how much does a soul weigh...?). Necromancy spirit shout is a good idea. Could be tied into Wail of the Banshee even. Technically Jone's Shadow 1 already helps you assassinate stuff, but I'll see what options I have. Dragon Souls will be acquired by being nice to Kyne. -- Progress will resume next week.......... currently a little busy with a freelance game design job. (GGG...) Hallabalooga
So vocalize shout will let me save up 3 master lvl desctruction spells and cast them at once...and then sit and watch the fireworks? Also, GGG? Is that a hint or just giggle? Edited July 7, 2013 by Hallabalooga

I feel like I am going to love this one. :3 (how much does a soul weigh...?). That is a philosophical question. Technically maybe it could have been done with something that can store dragon souls inside? Like a DragonSoulGem (they could also be used for enchanting).... and a special Shout that traps the DragonSoul inside the gem would be required...Although not sure if such a minor thing is worth the effort. Necromancy spirit shout is a good idea. Could be tied into Wail of the Banshee even. Technically Jone's Shadow 1 already helps you assassinate stuff, but I'll see what options I have. Yay. :3 I am looking forward to see it. :3 Dragon Souls will be acquired by being nice to Kyne. Sounds cool. :)
