Halexion
Hey all, I'm having a problem with Vortex. When I start vortex, it remains frozen on an empty loading bar with the message 'Loading Extensions'. The problem first started occurring after a recent update. Based on feedback to people with similar problems elsewhere, I tried reinstalling vortex (both current and older versions), which did not help. Unfortunately I could find nothing else to help me. Anyone got any ideas?
HadToRegister
Yup, in all of the threads where Vortex gets stuck loading extension, the problem has been fixed by installing the Visual C++ libraries.Hang on, let me search the forum for the threads and find the link for the libraries. HadToRegister
OK, found themdownload and install the x64 version of the required Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2019 (on the web page below, it's the download that reads x64: vc_redist.x64.exe).https://support.micr...ual-c-downloadsInstall it even if you think you already have it installed. Yes, it's a Windows install. Double click the downloaded file, follow the prompts, and yes you'll need to reboot. If you're getting error 126, it's probably because you don't have the C++ Redistributable installed. Also, make sure that all Updates for Windows have Installed.
