nexus mod manager won't stop preparing

ok so I was installing a mod then when I hit install it just kept preparing and never installed I tried reinstalling nexus as well as restarting my pc

the game was fallout 4 and there were no error messages all it told me was that it was Preparing

just leave it. no reason to uninstall/reinstall vortex/windows/fallout4/buy a new pc.
