ESL vs ESG?

This seems like the right place to ask a Newbie question, what does ESL and ESP mean?

 

I understand the desire to shorten things to make it quicker to type, but that makes it unfriendly for newbies when it's not explained anywhere in the mod what they mean. I keep running into tons of mods with so many different abbreviations in them but no explanation or link to what they are referring to.

 

Is there a thread somewhere that breaks all of them down?

ESP and ESL are file extensions just like ESM.

 

ESM are master plugins

ESP are standard plugins

ESL are light plugins

Oh! Such little accord with rules you and I both ignored.

 

Blame it on the heat, over our heads, for our failure to follow the rules. Them rules for Newbies to reap new friends and the rewards from making them here today.

 

Ah! It may be because of our being waken by a sunrise way too early in the morning and too far to the northeast.
