No fat chicks

There is a fat woman mod. I don't remember the name or where it was, but it's around. Haven't seen any fat men mods, but I'm not looking. They could easily be out there without me knowing about them. If you want to look, you will need to wade through the models and textures category file by file. I know it's a lot of work, but there are a lot of obscure mods that deserve a look.

I agree with the OP that there's not a lot of diversity concerning body shapes and sizes. Yet in the last month I've been learning about how the actors are created. Damn! Time consuming and tedious. I can understand Bethesda finding a middle ground. Then moving on to other things like quests and content.

 

Which is where the mod community comes in. The groundwork is there for interested people to tinker and create.

 

The two mods I'm familiar with are Fat Nords and Chubby Races. Both show how it can work. The second one takes it further with playable races, modified clothing and armor, and changing some vanilla NPCs.

 

Good times. Unfortunately this sort of work is pretty rare. Most people are into fantastic, sexualized stuff so that's where the interest and energy go.

There aren't many fat people in a world where you have to get exercise to survive. Fat people, if there were any, would all be wealthy. It's a sign of luxury, one difficult to afford.

If there is a will, there will be a way. Just do a mod for it... Not too sure how many downloads it'd get

It irritated me to no end when I found out the weight slider for females was only a breast enlargement feature.

You'd think that choosing between fat and skinny would be pretty high on the priority list when creating a character.
