agd25
I am trying to esl flag my mod At Your Own Pace - Thieves Guild. I can compact the form ID's and it still works, but when I add an esl flag some of the new voice lines stop working, they are spoken without sound. Not all, just about half. The lines are vanilla ones that I moved to other dialog topics. Does anyone know why this would be?
Zorkaz
Because the voice line IDs (found in the related quest scenes) are compacted too. You'd need to make a copy of the original voices (.fuz file probably) and alter their filenames to have the correct ID
agd25
It still works after compacting, but adding the flag breaks the dialog. It can't be the form ids
Arthmoor
It shouldn't be working at all. Compacting changes the form IDs, but if you didn't rename the voice files to match their new form IDs, they won't play. Setting the ESL flag won't affect that. agd25
Compacting only changed a global, not the dialog. I tested before and after and it is the flag somehow. I can add the flag, the dialog doesn't work, then remove the flag and it works again.
Arthmoor
It seems highly unlikely that compacting only changes one global and nothing else.
agd25
I had compacted before, but added another global in the ck, so had to compact again.

niston
There is a tool called VoiceESLify that will help you rename the voice files.Needs some manual tweaking in many cases, but it works. And it works for FO4 as well. The other thing is, the voice files are usually in a subdirectory the name of the plugin. So if the plugin name changes from, say, esp to esl, the voice will break. Renaming the subdirectory will fix that.
