leotheEliteMajor117
Fallout 4 randomly freezes for a moment then goes back to normal during my new playthrough. This never happened before in my previous one but now it does and it happens sometimes. The freezing happens when all audio or player audio stops working. If I pause the game, quicksave, talk to companion or NPC, the game then freezes for a moment. Here is my load order: https://www.mediafire.com/file/xjmw0luo49esi07/loadorder.txt/file Please help me. It's so frustrating
aurreth
I don't think it's your mods. I have a similar problem at times, or worse. As near as I can tell it's an issue with Fallout 4 and Windows sound drivers/managment. Basically Fallout 4 expects to monopolize sound and Windows expects it to play nicely so they end up fighting, and the game freezes while they sort it out. Unfortunately I don't have a solution, and believe me I've looked for one extensively. The only fix I've found is when it starts happening exit the game, then use Task Manager to make sure Fallout is completely shutdown, 'cause sometimes it doesn't and continues to hang around in the background. Preemhelio
Might be the game engine rendering textures and stuffs, it's kinda normal though.
xrayy
might also be av or another 3rd party software running in background. check also your windows processes with taskmanager. close all not essential tasks and check if problem still exists.
