DarkRingmaster
Name: Onyxia Frostmourne Race: Nord (Vampire) Birth Date: 2E 552 Birth Sign: The Warrior Alignment: Ebonheart Pact and Septim Empire Worships: Hircine, Talos and Sithis Backstory: Born during the second era to a clan of werewolves all Onyxia ever wanted to do was to serve Skyrim and Hircine until the day when her town and home was attacked by Vampires sent by Molag Bal where at the end of the assault she was the only survivor however she soon found out she had been transformed into a servant of Molag Bal a vampire. Searching for a way to avenge her family she joined the ranks of the Ebonheart Pact once she heard of the Three Banner War and the Dark Anchors from Coldharbour. After defeating Molag Bal and sealing him in his realm of Oblivion and ending the war she went on to seek out a new life by leaving her hometown of Dawnstar and moving to Falkreath. There she met a General named Tiber Spetim and after hearing how he and King Cuhlecain wanted to connect the Provenances and create a new empire she followed her warrior instincts and joined them. she stayed loyal to Tiber Septim even after he was crowned Emporor after Cuhlecain's Assassination forming a bond of friendship and maybe even love for the young Dragonborn Warrior, a feeling that she hadn't felt in ages. A few years after Tiber Septim's death Onyxia felt it was time to move on before someone found out about her Vampirism sense Tiber was no longer around to help so she packed what she could carry and left to find a new home. During the time of 3E 405 Onyxia hears word of Uriel Septim VII trying to gain control of the Mantella and goes on a personal quest in order to track it down knowing of it's power and what it can do as she fears of what would happen if it fell into the wrong hands as she roams through Daggerfall trying to find the mantella she runs across the Hero of Daggerfall and tries to stop him from completing his quest not trusting that he is working for the Emperor however when the hero explains that if he doesnt get to the mantella in time to help the empire that a necromancer known as Mannimarco will and at that time Onyxia agrees to help for he is someone she has been tracking down for some time. Unfortunately for her Mannimarco escapes during the battle for the mantella but is glad nonetheless that the empire was now whole once again and journeys once more to track down the king of worms and kill him. Twenty four years later Onyxia gains a vision in her sleep from the Daedric Prince Hircine who tells her to meet him on the island of Solstheim during the Bloodmoon where he shall be entering Nirn and he shall take away her Vampirism in exchange to become one of his Werewolves as a gift for being such a humble servant to him. Wanting nothing more then to finally be rid of this curse she catches the first ship to Solstheim and waits for the Bloodmoon. While she awaits the coming of Hircine Onyxia meets a Dark Elf who claims to be the Nerevarine who asks for her help in stopping the Bloodmoon Prophecy. Infuriated that an Elf would dare try to stop the Prince of the Hunt she charges at him intending to stop him but fails as she is weak from not having fed on blood for so long and not able to stop him from stopping the Bloodmoon Prophecy losses the chance to become a Werewolf and getting rid of her curse vowing to one day take her revenge on her new enemy. Some time later Onyxia joins the Dark Brotherhood where she will be accepted for what she is and where she can feed in peace now that she has fully accepted her fate, however she soon leaves her sanctuary in Elsywer to travel to Cyrodil where she has heard from a contact of sightings of Mannimarco and his worm cult as well as to pay respects to the empire for the loss of Uriel Septims VII and his sons. It is here with the help of the Champion of Cyrodil that she finally gained her vengeance on the King of Worms for his crimes so long ago and where she finally finds peace, Onyxia once again heads back to her homeland of Skyrim back to Dawnstar where it all began it is there that she will rest, it is there that she can finally have peace. She joins the Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary gaining their protection as she gains her strenth while she sleeps.....however Tamerial is no longer the same with the return of the Aldmeri Dominion and the Great war she has no clue what is to come as she sleeps until she is finally woken up during 4E 202 by the newly appointed Listener the Dragonborn and hears of the civil war between the Empire and the Stormcloaks now she must decide if she is to take arms for her homeland or help the empire that she helped build so long ago she looks up towards the sky as the only words she can say is “what would you do Tiber?”
ElioraArin
My character is a native of Skyrim who was sent away with her older brother to get an education. While studying they received news that their parents had been taken by the Thalmor for Talos worship, & her brother skipped his graduation celebrations to rush back to Skyrim to join the Stormcloak movement while she completed her studies. She then returns to her family home (Elysium Estate) with nothing but her horse, some basic supplies & 1000g, her home having been stripped of belongings & valuables by the Thalmor & her brothers location unknown. Her intention was to also join the Stormcloaks, but she becomes distracted by the dragon crisis & follows that path instead ...
shep8234
Writing a backstory is something i have always wanted to do, but was never sure how to pull it off, i create a new character and little idea's come up, but just not sure how to write it into a story to tell about the character, i was always good at thinking up idea's, but to put them down in writing just isn't my thing, lucky for me I'm currently taking writing classes, I also have made some friends on Facebook who write Fanfic which has helped me get started. But i like reading all of your guys material, i enjoy story telling doesn't matter if it's big or small, i appreciate the detail you guys put into your charaters, to really give a more indepth view on where they come from, i always that was really a important part of gaming is telling a story everyone can relate to in some way or another. TheSpaceShuttleChallenger
Usually I keep my characters' backstories fairly sparse (woe betide the writer who preoccupies himself with their character's past instead of their character's present,) but I have nevertheless determined the following things about my playthroughs: My first character was a horse trader. Specifically, he's the horse-trader that was chasing Lokir across the countryside with a switch when they fell victim to the Empire's Ambush. Of Redguard background, he was at one point a wholesome son of a wholesome farmer; he presents the image of moral uprightness, but between you and me, he fights not for Tamriel but for the thrill of a beheading and the inside of Argis' butt. My second is an orc, who has been living and travelling more or less by herself since her elders made the mistake of claiming they were boss of her. 'Kicked 'em all in the shins, ran for the hills, and has been doing her own thing ever since. Regardless, she is obscenely orcish. Figures someday she'll be chief of her own stronghold and take Malacath Himself as her bride. My third is an accomplished officer of the Aldmeri Dominion. Not because she's an Elven Supremacist or anything; she just figures the Dominion's the quickest route to world domination and the ultimate fulfillment of her lust for shiny dresses. However, she is also an Elven Supremacist. Console commands were abused to give her an endless supply of fire. The fourth one is too mysterious for a backstory. He began his playthrough with 597 stalks of lavender in his inventory, and has since progressed to over 4,000 stalks of lavender. My newest one? He's a Herald. Of Valdemar. How did he come to be fighting dragons in a completely different universe? In true Mercedes Lackey style, the author must shrug and vaguely insinuate something to do with Companion Meddling. Like most Herald-protagonists, he is fortune's buttmonkey and thus must suffer under the burden of a truly masochistic array of hardcore difficulty mods, and likes to spend his evenings weeping in his bedroll while his Companion snickers at him.I'd like to say this character is a joke but with the amount of time I've spent retexturing things to white, it's probably not a joke. benjones01
My character is a nordic werewolf/vampire lord hybrid, who uses both magic and weaponry, mainly his beloved enchanted dragonbone sword with soul trap enchantments and wears full dragonbone armour. He is son of a family which owned a lot of land, was very wealthy (but not corrupt) and was a big supporter of the empire. when the my character Karolf, was an infant, his true nature was discovered by a necromancer, and so he was kidnapped by said necromancer. The necromancer also discovered some dwarven ruins which housed machinery which could clone someone (but the clones wouldn't have a soul.) The necromancer sought to conquer Tamriel, but his clones didn't have a soul and so they were severely flawed, so he studied the Draugur and tapped into the same life source they do and also accelerated the clone's age, gave them fighting skill knowledge, a black version of Dwarven armor & weapons which was a lot better than regular Dwarven armor & weapons. As a side effect of the aging process, the clone's skin turned Dragur like, the clones were half dragonborn, they had the blood of a dragon but not the soul of a dragon, but their thuum was still equally as powerful. Before the necromancer could finish the first battalion, Karolf's father, along with a force of mercenaries, tracked the necromancer down and fought him and his forces. The necromancer was ultimately beaten and slain by Karolf's father, who safeguarded the necromancer's research and the location of the Dwemer ruins. The necromancer's troops were eventually killed or died off, since their master wasn't around to replenish their life force, but one "failed" experiment survived, a female infant clone of Karolf. The clone was an experiment to see if the necromancer could use souls as a substitute for the life force he normally used, he managed to clone Karolf's soul but he lacked the ability to control her, so he tossed her aside and continued making more soldiers the way he normally did. Karolf's father decided to spare the child and take her in as one of his own and passed her off as a lost twin and kept her true creation a secret. Fast forward to the great war against the Thalmor, the Thalmor targeted Karolf's family since they were one of the Empire's biggest supporters, Karolf and his "sister" Sadina were only young children at the time, their family, the servants and the family's guards were killed in the attack, but not before the children escaped, left to fend for themselves. The pair grew a loving relationship for one another, which led to Karolf's man hunt when the Thalmor kidnapped Sadina (because they were causing the Thalmor's forces trouble) Karolf also managed to find the last surviving Thalmor soldier who attacked his family's home (who stood at 7ft tall), after brutally killing the survivor and putting his soul in a soul gem, he also found the necromancer's research notes that his father kept. After learning his sister's true origins, Karolf and Sadina left Cyrodiil and ventured to Skyrim, but they were followed by the Thalmor and had to split and Karolf summoned a Dremora to protect Sadina and Karolf was captured and sent to Helgan for execution, where the story begins and becomes a vampire lord/werewolf hybrid and becomes champion of all the deadra and leader of all of the guilds in Skyrim, Marries Sadina, has a few children and eventually becomes a Nordic demi-god. skyquest32
Yes, its essential for you to be able to truly care about or empathize with the character, not just history but personalty and there life and special motivations. The plan you have laid out for there character progression path...your story within a story. You can plot it out like the rough draft of a novel and follow the walk through you made for your characters story, after you have made it possible. Get the proper mods to make it possible and go for it. Its like a sims challenge only more realistic and involved, more interactive. its no fun to just play through 1,2,3 or its all the same. Skyrim with modding allows so much more. That and a creative mind is needed. You could say there is only so much you can do with it, of the base game this is true...but using the base game as a platform, a jumping off point to build your real game,...there is almost no end to what you can do. I also feel we have just begin to scratch the surface of the potential and possibility of this alone. I find it more useful not to base the story around the mods of course in any aspect but to use them to allow things to unfold and play out. To enjoy the unfolding of my story and the playing of my game. The mods are more than rp props they can help bring your adventure to life within the game. Building, making and following these walk-trough in variation each play through is really fun, and with familiar faces mod a whole new vista of exciting possibility's present themselves. There are other overhauls tricks and creative little mods just being released as well. Control the landscape the weather the look all to your liking even the game mechanics. Sonicguy41
A bit of a darker story Erikur Age: 19 Gender: male I grew up in a on a small farm in Skyrim, with my Ma and Pa and my little brother Vidrin, I was born with something no other boy had in in Skyrim, a feminine appearance, and white hair. everyone would call me a milk drinker, so I trained with a sword every day to prove that I could too be a warrior, not only that but I would be the world's best swordsman, one day when I was 12, tending to the horses outside when a group of bandits rode in and slaughtered my whole family, they were about to cut me down when they looked at my face and one of them said "we got a pretty boy", they took over my house and kept me as a slave... and did things to me against my will, a year later a blind imperial man passed my home but noticed the sound of screaming indoors and knocked on the door, the bandits swarmed outside to kill him and take his coin but the pulled out a sword like i've never seen before, it was thin and curved, and cut down every single bandit with an insane amount of strategy that no one in skyrim has ever seen. While he was leaving I caught up with him and begged him to teach me, after hours of trailing him he finally agreed, for the next six years he trained me in the lost swords style of akavir, he grew into to become my best friend, he taught me everything he knew, it was time to say farewell so he left for cyrodil, and here I am. xjpattonx
My character is Syn'dar. A Khajiit. His story begins as a young khajiit in Elsweyr. His father was a merchant who had been killed by imperials after a dispute over the pricing of some goods. Thus he has a deep seated hatred for the Imperial legion. Later in life he would decide to back the Stormcloaks. Not because he's sure Tamriel would be better off with Ulfric on the throne but because he views that as the lesser of two evils. With only his mother left and no siblings there comes a day that would become of great importance in shaping his life. He and his mother are doing some chores when a feeling comes over him he cannot explain. He feels there is an incoming danger that will soon manifest itself. In what form he does not know. Soon after three bandits bust through the tent. Their actions suggest his mother is in danger of being raped and murdered and that they will steal everything they own. The young Khajiit seems to go into some kind of trance. Starting off into the distance with extreme focus, a pack of wild wolves soon surround the bandits. They attack. The bandits are mauled, ripped apart, they never stood a chance. He goes over those events in his head for some time and he can't help but feel he somehow ''willed'' the wolves appearance. He's not sure if his thoughts brought the wolves into existence, or if he simply took control of those wolves with his mind. He only feels certain that his thoughts, his concentration, brought about the event. A few years later, now as an adult Khajiit. He seems to have lost his moral compass. He steals to put food on the table. He will do whatever he feels is necessary in order to protect and provide for his mother without much regard for the possible coincidences or morality. It's around this time another event takes place that will go along way in shaping his future. One night while in a deep sleep after a long day of thievery and evading detection, In a dream, an image he recognizes a the cat night mistress appears before him. Know to other races as Nocturnal, she speaks to him. The reason isn't obvious to him at this time, but the message is clear. Nocturnal tells him " You are the chosen one. Your blood is that of the Gods. You will decide the fate of Tamriel. You will face great trials and tribulations on your journey. You will need immense power in order to overcome these obstacles. Seek power in any form without regard. And lastly, find your brothers and sisters in a city in Skyrim that will feel like home to you." The very next day the Khajiit is out on another excursion. A storm the likes of which he has never seen or heard of sweeps over. He is far from home. He can only take shelter and wait for the storm to pass. Upon returning to his village he discovers the village has all but been wiped away. His mother, badly injured, hangs on for days, but eventually she dies in his arms. He hangs around what is left of the village and tries to help others salvage what is left. There is a great anger that is building up inside of Syn'dar. He feels he has no purpose. No direction. He remembers the words spoken to him in his dream. He decides to head out to Skyrim hoping everything will become more clear as he starts his journey. He is caught crossing the border into Skyrim and finds himself surrounded by imperials. He is soon bound and in a wagon heading for an unknown location. The imperials stop the wagon in the town of Helgen and it soon becomes clear he is not being brought there for imprisonment, especially considering the significance of one of the men in particular that was captured with him. None other than Ulfric Stormcloak. The captured men are being beheaded one by one, when it's the Khajiit's turn a feeling starts to well up inside him. He cannot place it. He only knows it's the same feeling he had just moments before a pack of wolves attacked the bandits that were threatening his mother. Once again he has a strong feeling that something is about to happen. And if history is any indication he's sure hoping it's something that will get him out of this situation. .. just as he approaches the chopping block.. well, you know the rest. Always remembering the words that came to him in that dream he seeks power "in any form without regard'', when given a choice one day he decides to become a vampire. He cannot think of anything more powerful than bending the will of others. A strange thing happens though. At this point it's know to him he is dragonborn and it seems as though his dragon blood when combined with vampirism gives him different abilities than an average vampire. He can walk in the daylight. People do not fear him and he is not attacked on site. (obviously achieving this with better vampires mod). He does go on to seek out his ''brothers and sisters''. He finds them in a town called Riften. And as you know, he does decide the fate of Tamriel. But that's a different story.
skyquest32
My current one his a highelf ex thalmor agent, who while he has a fanatical pride in his people dose not agree with there ultimate goals. He wants to do some good in the world for his people but dose not think he will have life enough , that and his former allies turned enemies, caused him to become a vampire. Harkon irked him, (that and planning to kill the woman he loves) so he took the questline and took over, despite himself and the pity he felt for her, along the way he grew to love harkons daughter. This was a forbbiden sort of thing for him, being a high elf...he will never consummate it, and will struggle with himself endlessly over the implications. Yet he loves her for herself, and would let no harm come to her or any she loves, for her sake...even if she is a Nord and the vampire thing was but a bid for power....A needed longevity and, and a means to a end. He views undeath as giving his normal life for his people and serving them after. Hes been creating more amidst the mer to aid him in his quest and build up a new command. He will take on the thalmor and take over...he will save the world and stop the end of all things, on two fronts. He both inadvertently serves and despises mologbal. He is what his society and upbringing have made him but he is not a bad man in his heart for it not for the world being threatened and the accompanying end of his people, he would lay down his life in a instant for the one he loves...again...even if shes already dead.
