What is the hate with Nexus mod changes?

I love how Vortex makes downloading and installing mods easier for dumbasses like me to be able to install and play my games with mods without having to have a computer programmers degree. I know there are some simpler mod installs but there are mods that require to be installed in specific ways and at specific settings while modifying the game folders. That is beyond some people's understanding. With Nexus now not letting mod authors just up and delete their mods without warning and allowing users to just stick certain mods together, so if there is something that happens to their computers, they can easily just go back, reinstall and done. They won't have to worry about hunting down mods that were deleted without a reason why.

 

If a mod author doesn't want their mod to be associated with them, instead of just deleting the mod, why not just give/sell it to someone else who is willing to do upkeep and updates for it. This way your name would be removed from it and you can keep your feelings clear.

 

Not everyone has the talent to make mods, but we all respect mod authors for what they do.
