Radioactivelad
This has been a thing I've noticed in a few modern RPGs like Fallout 76 and The Outer Worlds. Basically when you engage in conversation with an NPC, a cinematic light appears to bring their face in to sharper focus and stand out from the background. It's a feature that's grown on me, and It'd be cool to see in New Vegas. Incidentally, there is a variant of this feature in the base game already: In VATs, the selected target is lit up with a light. Maybe that could serve as a basis for a Dialogue Light mod? laclongquan
I always turn up the pipboy light before talking to NPC. Which mean I do recognize one possible problem: In case of NPC standing in bright area, the pipboy light could be too much. It's of same category "too much bloom" as shown in Oblivion game to start. So yeah, any mod auto-turning up pipboylight before dialog would need to pay attention to that.
JimboUK
Is it possible to get the light levels in an area and then ensure that the addition of another source doesn't push that up so high that you get clipping? the game has a problem with colour clipping anyway, NPCs around fires being a good example, they glow.
