_it_
if a christian god existed why is LEGION/beezlebub/satan/devil/lucifer still alive ? Wait... You're giving an argument why god doesn't exist by asking why another divine being still exists? read this site.http://thenazareneway.com/ i'll never make a comment about this. Yeah, we definitely know that chrisianity exists, but thanks for trying to clear that up. We don't want a bunch of books as proof of a divine being. Doesn't work. You guys already tried that. if go existed he could end all the poverty illness and war that by many people is work of the devil so if the devil is so bad why does he still exist in the christian world ? and i admit that wasnt the best question i could ask but i have another problem with crhistianinty why can ONLY jesus (also known as the lamb in the writings of apocalypse) open the seven seals to end the world ? and would it not be pointless to end the world after you have saved it a wile ago ? Dinin
if go existed he could end all the poverty illness and war that by many people is work of the devil so if the devil is so bad why does he still exist in the christian world ? Its kinda simple. I view life as a test, if we pray to God, ask for forgiveness, and live like a Christian should, then we pass and we get a pretty sweet prize. How would God seperate the non-believers from the believers if he made life a breeze by taking out war/famine/poverty and the devil? What would we learn? By making those 70-90 years of life difficult, he notices the people that are faithful to him through thick and thin. And once those years pass, we get to spend eternity in heaven. Now this was all put into context with examples and metaphors by a teenager, if you want your questions answered in detail, read the Bible. So are you saying that christianity is all about the cheese at the end of the maze?!? That seems ridiculous... Life is now and we should not be held back by what we think could be at the end. I say you don't have to be a christian to have a "sweet prize" as long as you live a life as a good person. You shouldn't have to pray to an all powerful being <_< ... Don't get me wrong, christianity teaches great things, i just don't like the worshiping factor...
Coolhandgoose
I agree with you tyjet3. It seems a little strange to be damned to hell for eternity for actions done in your 70-90 years on earth. Christianity is a good moral basis for any person, as it is with all religions really. They all have the same basic concept of respecting one another to make the world a better place. I would like to hear from padin fain (you know, the person who started this discussion) with how this is going. Are we answering some of your questions? Is there something you would like to add? Did we confuse you more?

What would we learn? and again god is alknowing/seeing/hearing so he already knows and we dont need to learn because his whole test doesnt makes sence

Just on a (sort of) related note, I did see a programme on the UK History channel (yes, I'm one of the three people who actually watches it :P ). In it, there was a village in Kashmir where a 'prophet from Israel' called Issa lived in the first century AD, who was known locally as 'Yus Assaf' (if memory serves), which translates as 'the Healer'. In about 50AD, he actually claimed to be Jesus, and there are a lot of similarities between the 'cult' he founded and the very early Christianity of the first century AD. He apparently died in 80AD, and there were carvings of his footprints on his tomb. They show scars on his feet of exactly the size and shape of scars on someone who had nails driven through his feet during crucifiction.
Dinin
Um...i guess my last paragraph didn't do anything for you people Now this was all put into context with examples and metaphors by a teenager, if you want your questions answered in detail, read the Bible. You're taking what I typed way too literally, I was trying to put it in a certain view that some people would understand. The key words were example and metaphor and name one person who has lived a full 80 years without making one sin When did I mention you couldn't sin? I said by ASKING FOR FORGIVENESS, and living like a christian should (meaning obeying the ten commandments as best you can) you pass the test, but then again maybe i shouldn't mention the whole test thing, people thought i was viewing the whole religion like a test. When i say "sweet prize" that obviously means that heaven would be a nice place to be. I can't believe I was just scolded for saying heaven was a sweet prize...i mean is it that ludacris to call it that? Yet again, people are taking things too literally, thinking that when i say theres a prize at the end, then that means all you should think about is the prize. You missed my main point at which i was trying to explain why there were things such as war and the devil, for some reason the word test was etched into your brain. I wish next time that people try to actually read into what i type. Like i said, it was simple. But I guess i learned something valuable, next time i'll copy/paste the whole Bible so people won't be offended at the way I put things in my own words.
