aviform
^ What this guy is asking is, how large are your saves and how often have you saved on those saves?
Jokerine
Let me be very clear. I'm NOT yanking mods out of my load-order mid game. Got it? That's not the issue. Whoa, calm down tiger. You kind of sound like you don't even want to be helped. But I agree - knowing the game and how fickle it is, it would be a good idea to post the size of your saves - maybe they've bloated and that could be why you're crashing :) Edited July 26, 2013 by Jokerine
Shadeybladey
If all else fails, I would also say: never use a heavily scripted mod that hasn't been updated since patch 1.9.32.0.8check your machine for dust and fluff and overheating problems. fifteenspades
Just throwing this out there, why hasn't anyone requested his Payprus logs? if it still crashes on a new character then you should be able to find which mod or mods are causing the CTD quite easily. sairafi
I'm sorry that you don't want to remove a mod and i sympathize but a mod doesn't need to have a missing content message to have it cause you to crash to desktop at anytime either at startup or several hours into play, For example i had a load order of 200+ mods and it was stable for months and then i trimmed it down to about 70 and added a few new ones and then i got constant crashes, Anyway the point is i narrowed down which mod caused my problem removed it, added a few dozen other mods and it was a lot more stable than the 70+ order ever was. The whole point is just because you cleaned your mods, sorted them and have no obvious errors doesn't mean that one or more of your mods isn't screwy
RS13
Guys, I know that I haven't done a good job helping you help me. But you're just getting at the wrong problem. My problem isn't that Skyrim's crashing. My problem is Skyrim's being so unpredictable that it's impossible to know if I've got problems or what's causing them. I have no doubt that cleanly reinstalling install and scaling back (yet again!) my mods will get Skyrim working. And I have no doubt that 10, 20 or 30 hours in it will start crashing and lagging. I have no doubt that--when this happens-- I'll find that previously OK saves made hours back are no longer be OK. And my problem--on top of that--is that I can't reconcile myself to just not playing Skyrim or to playing vanilla Skyrim. What I am supposed to do about THAT?! mindw0rk2
Maybe somebody could point to major culprits of freezes/crashes happening on the road from Riverwood to Standing Stones?
yzerman19
Crashes are just a part of life if you just add on 200 mods.
