Please let us block categories

Hi all!

 

I'm sure this has been asked before, but it's still worth bringing up-- mod categories exist for a reason, right? Since we can already filter our searches by category, why not allow users to block certain categories entirely?

 

And yes, I know the tag system exists. But the thing is, a lot of mod authors don't tag their mods when they upload them, and the mod needs three users to tag it themselves before the tag is applied to the mod. And that's if the author even allows others to tag their mod in the first place. It's not a very effective system. There would be much less hassle for all involved if we could block categories, especially since (if my memory is correct) that the category is required when we upload a mod, but the tags are not.

Tagging is still a thing?? s#*! i thought that was removed a long time ago for some reason. i've never seen a mod that has a tag section. or hell ive never seen tags since then. how do you see tags?

Across the top section of every single mod page. Between the author information and the page tabs.
