elias64
I'm trying to install the newest version of FNIS on a first time installation of Vortex(1.4.16) , and I don't have a tools folder when I click the dots on the FNIS button to connect it with the generate FNIS path. My Skyrim SE game path is D: drive, steam library, steam apps, common, skyrim se, then in the data folder theres no tools folder for me to continue. The mods and content I have installed are Skryrim SE, Dawnguard, Hearthfire,Dragonborn. update patch ,SKSE64 and SKY UI. I have 16 gb ram, gtx 3060 ti, Windows 10 64 bit. Thanks for any suggestions you may have.

elias64
I did use Vortex, version 1.4.16, I redownloaded it and tried installing FNIS a second time. I also installed the FNIS spells mod hoping that would do the trick. Still no tools folder. This is the strangest thing . I have a stupid idea, could I make a folder called tools and put a legitimate FNIS generator file in it? Could that possibly work? I appreciate the help cuz I'm baffled and stuck. No, you install it with Vortex, this is the path I end up with when I install FNIS with Vortex... D:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\tools\GenerateFNIS_for_Users\GenerateFNISForUsers.exe
elias64
I did install FNIS with Vortex twice. I also installed FNIS spells. I understand the path that it's supposed to make and should have tools in the data folder. For some very bizarre reason mine doesn't. I also have regular skyrim managed with Mod Manager 2 and it works fine and has that path with the FNIS generator. Thats why I asked could I make a folder called tools and put a copy of the FNIS generrator in it? If not , I'll have to live without FNIS or do a complete reinstall of Skyrim Se because I don't know whats causing the tools folder to not show or get installed. I appreciate your time helping me with this and if you can think of the next thing I should try,I'd really appreciate it.
