TexasSon1836
So, I have been doing this modding thing for about 13 hours, I'm not a pro by any means, and I just want to launch Fallout 4 with a few mods. Vortex won't let me put it in hardlink deployment and I don't know why. I have the suggested folder selected for mods, I properly installed the script extender for Fallout and I have a blank folder for downloads, both Fallout and vortex, and these folders are on my D drive. IDK what to do? My only option for deployment says move deployment (experimental) and IDK what that means.

IDK what to do? The GAME and the MOD STAGING folder need to be on the same Hard Drive. If Fallout 4 is installed on D:\, then your Mod Staging Folder for Fallout 4 also needs to be on D:\ If you still can't select Hardlink, then check the file system on your Hard Drive and make sure it's NTFS

HadToRegister
They are on the same drive and I have he mod staging folder set up properly. Then check what the filesystem is on the Drive, it needs to be NTFS, not FAT32 etc.. Click on THIS PC, then right click on your drive and select properties and see if it says File System: NTFS
