Vortex duplicating fnis?

I'm not entirely sure why this happens. Haven't happened to any mods (as of yet), but for the moment it keeps duplicating fnis. If I delete one. It will remove it and put in a new again. So I can't even delete it. If I use the mod conflict and load one before the other as suggested, it will just put it back and say there's an issue. I am not entirely sure what I am supposed to do to fix this and stop it from duplicating. I think its due to me making another profile maybe? Sorry if this has already been answered. I googled wildly around but found no answer. Plus I don't mod much...

When you made a new profile, did you install FNIS for the new profile, or did you just use the FNIS you already had installed for the old profile?

Because, if you make a new profile, all you have to do is ENABLE any of the mods you want to use from the OLD profile, for the new profile, you DO NOT need to install already installed MODS from the old profile, for the new profile

Oh sorry, my apologies. I didn't install it again, but I just removed the other one and it works fine now for some reason. Maybe I clicked something I shouldn't which caused it to freak out. I don't know why it happened, but it works now in any scenario. Sorry for the trouble.

According to your first post, whenever you remove the other FNIS, it appears again.

So why did the second FNIS stop mysteriously appearing now?

Whatever steps you took might be helpful to someone else if you post them

Oh, I right clicked it. Clicked 'open file manager', and just deleted the second version of it. I haven't seen any messages about it and stuff seems to work fine ingame at least. So I assume there should be no problems. I likely downloaded it again somehow, as you mentioned. I'm just not sure how I managed to do that without myself noticing, but modding is mysterious stuff at times. Least for newbies like me. It also especially weirded me out that it wouldn't let me delete it through the remove button. I had to remove it directly from the files folder, but who knows. There's probably a logical explaination i'm not getting. Thanks for the messages.

Just a bit more information.

The "mod" you see named FNIS Data - is not a mod. It is not FNIS.

It contains the FNIS generated data for your specific animations enabled in that profile.

Don't delete any of them... They all wind up in a dropdown; just make sure only the one with that profile name is enabled in that profile.

Please stop marking your haphazard fixes as "BEST ANSWER" as it will most likely cause future users a lot of problems, and/or cause people in the support forums a lot of problems when they emulate your 'fixes'

You are currently blindly poking around, deleting things randomly etc and then marking them as "Best Answer", as this is the second time you've changed the "Best Answer"

Well I apologise. I don't really know what's the best way to do it. You just asked me to tell how I did it, so I did it and marked it as answer and then left. So I can move on. If you want it to be a specific way. You gotta say it clear. How do you want me to go about it? Because if I put no answer, i'm likely gonna get more comments, when I already feel like it is fixed for me. I can't delete the post either. So unless you have a specific way you want it to be that will please your idea, let me know and we can move on, but there's no point making a fuss over it now. This is my first post, and I may have made some mistakes that i'm not aware of.

Unfortunately that's the thing that was kinda broke. I couldn't disable just one. Which forced me to delete it. Whenever I did. It just deployed, and then re-enabled the other again, and said there's a conflict. Whether it had impact on the game. I could've maybe tested that more further, but the fact it kept saying there's a conflict with the two was annoying enough.

I did test it briefly ingame actually. Which caused it to not respond when there was two. As mentioned, it wouldn't let me remove it, disable it or anything. That's why this was the only solution that worked for me as far as I could find. I haven't experienced any issues now.
