Flower Girls will not work with older save files but will work when I start a new character

I downloaded flower girls SE and I started a new game but forgetting to activate Next Run Generate_FNIS_For_Users. Going pretty deep into the story, I realized I forgot to turn on that program. I still get all the girls and dialogue options but when I start the dialogue for a animation scene, nothing happens. Also the spells for flower girls are not in my inventory.

 

But when I start a brand new character, the flower girls mod works perfectly fine.

not seeing how that relates to an issue with vortex - you may get a better, more informed answer asking in the game or mod forum.

Uninstall the mod, make a "clean" save (a save without flower girls installed), reinstall the mod, run Fnis. Load the clean save.

This is really bad advice. Do not remove/re-add mods mid game. It'll only corrupt your save further.
