Gorgopis
It may be just us, but when we import our own cleaned mods from LE, and Vortex deploys, that NIF.s and facegen files get altered. Are we missing something in our knowledge or protocols? Thanks.
Guest deleted34304850
not seeing how that is a vortex issue.what happens if you don't clean the mods and deploy?
Pickysaurus
If new files are created by the CK, they are created in the data folder and not managed by Vortex.
Gorgopis
Thank you. We got inspired to investigate, and indeed our question was NOT a Vortex issue or question. It was a CK (Creation Kit SE) issue! However, may we recommend to the moderators and administrators of this site that they leave our topic here for those who may run into the same confusion we (relatively new modders to SE) experienced? When we checked our imported LE NPC mod files in CK SSE (without the Nexus-available CK SSE Fixes-Patch enabled), to insure all pathways were correct, we hit Save. OUCH! The CK "automatically" re-pathed some of our textures and NIF's and our facegens and .ESP, a result likely well known to experienced CK modders, but a bit of a confusion for us at this stage of our development. When Vortex deployed, it deployed the CK-altered version, as it is a deployer of mods, not a writer-to of mods. Duh? Thanks to all who engaged.
