So I'm going to be getting mods for the first time.

First and foremost, Nexus Mod Manager (or FOMM, whatever floats your boat) is your best friend if you don't prefer to manually install mods so make sure you have that installed. In terms of tutorials, Gopher has some pretty good video ones: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLF6F122CB27A4C085. They made it as easy as possible to install mods and his videos will show you how to do it. Any of the videos in the playlist will do for the purpose of figuring out how to do it as almost all mods are the same when it comes to installing them, some include their own installer which are usually straight forward.

Edit: Op, linked the wrong playlist.

Thanks a lot man, also, do they include a link to the nexus mod manager?

And if you know any good mods I'd appreciate it.

Nexus Mod Manager can be obtained here:

http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/modmanager//?

As for good mods, there are far too many that cover practically every aspect of the game to list. Generally a lot of the 'Top Files' of the nexus are good, so are the mods in the 'mod of the month' usually. Then there are the stuff that most would think impossible to add in but then some godly modder comes and makes it. It really depends on what you're after. Don't let that stop you from digging through the thousands of mods because some good ones don't get the recognition they deserve.

No, never. Not with integrated graphics. In fact, you'll probably have to go low textures. You really do need a graphics card for these types of game.

Doubly so as it's an Intel. If it was an AMD, you could handle large textures, but still could not manage HD mods

I get up to 1.5 gigs of memory for the gpu

and I can run planetside 2 with high textures and low everything else and get 30-50 fps
