starlitegirl
I've played this game a dozen times and all of a sudden I have some bug where the dragon arrives, Hadvar walks into the wall, no dialogues happen and the dragon circles but never lands. I go through everything fine until when the dragon circles and there's supposed to be dialogues like 'Centuries, what do you see?" etc. But hadvar walk away from the chopping block, there is no dialogue, the dragon circles and I'm stuck. I've tried reinstalling. Restarting. Using no mods except the stuff that loads at a fresh install... I've done the recommended skyrim file directx setup from that folder. It's like my game is now trashed because nothing fixes it. Does anyone have a fix for this? The problems is that I am still bound. I could setstage to the next one but I don't know how to get unbound. And I want to do the helgen start because I need it for helgen reborn. Is there a way to set the code so I am not bound at the start?
bben46
The entire Helgen sequence, until you exit the cave, is a scripted tutorial. Many mods that add scripts can interfere with it - My guess is some script from a mod is causing trouble. Sometimes these are hard to get rid of and just disabling the mod may not work. The cosmetic mods don't usually have scripts and don't seem to interfere. Be sure your Helgen Reborn is OFF when you do the intro. And any other mods that add scripts. If this doesn't work, you may have to remove everything and reinstall the game - then add your mods after you exit the cave.
Wyvernboy
Hahaha, same as me. I've been recreating new characters since yesterday, and this issue pops out only today. Gotta check my recently added mods and wonder whether they have some script-interfering properties. Edited March 18, 2016 by Wyvernboy

Perhaps it went wrong when I was reinstalling UFO. I did uninstall Immersive armors before starting on a new game though because I've heard of the numerous bugs that it introduces during the Helgen sequence. I typed tfc into the console right after the first Stormcloak soldier's head got chopped off, wait for a few seconds when I'm supposedly walking towards the chopping block, then type tfc back in. The sequence proceed normally afterwards. Edit: Just started on a previous save after Character creation, issue does not persist despite not typing tfc into console. Only from then on it is safe to reinstall the mods.

LeddBate
I have a problem myself I'm in a glitch were alduin interrupts the execution but I when alduin shouts I don't fall to the ground instead I'm walking in one spot like there's nothing there As has been mentioned above, the main cause of glitches in Helgen is too many mods activated. This can cause all sorts of havoc including crashes. Best way to test it, uncheck all your mods on the plug-in tab in NMM (except for the game, DLCs and unofficial patch) and start a new game. Re-check all the mods AFTER you've completed "Unbound". Make a hard save before doing so, just in case of more issues. Now, it's okay to leave a few mods checked during the Helgen sequence. Mods like SKSE (which, actually is really, really recommended) and SkyUI are fine. I've started half-a-dozen games with those mods active and never hiccuped. If you're using a mod like "Alternate Start - Live Another Life", then most of the starts are NOT scripted, and you don't have to do the above.
