Now this is my problem.... i downloaded Fallout 3 two days after it hit the stores... have a Reloaded. Let me get to the point,

I installed the game and downloaded a few mods and i was confused when i wanted to extract mods to the Data folder i couldnt overwrite so i opened the folder and look... all the data: Meshes, textures.... were in .BSA file type... then i extracted the content into the Data folder and BackUped the .BSA files. I started the game just to see if it works and this was the result:

There were also some ''Error Messages''

Pls. can anyone tell me how to mod this and do i have to download Fallout again from someone else?

Tyvm i tried it ... but it still has the same result.... maby i can make this more simple; this is how my Fallout Data folder looks like

then when i extract them with FOMM or FO3Archive it still has the same result... maby the files r damaged or incomplete... but whe i run the game using .BSA files it runs normally without any crashes, laggs or bugs.... ( using .BSA files i cant make any changes to textures or meshes unless there is a program that would let me edit a .BSA file and add changes inside)

BTW i never had this kind of troubles with TES: Morrowind or Oblivion

Hope someone can help me... :thanks:

P.S. Sry 4 writing so much :pinch:

Before this misleading thread goes longer.

the original BSAs shall NOT be touched! To use anything that 'overrides' files in the BSA, one just need to place them into the correct places at the /Data folder and perform an archive invalidation (or use the equivalent function from FOMM).

PS: You can extract something from the BSA, change it at your leisure and place the result with the correct structure into the /data. But you shall keep the original one intact and in place.

What many don't know is meshes have internal pointers to the texture files, and often is uncared changes in the folders names the guilt for the infamous purples, diamonds with exclamations, and so on...
