Skotte
Sounds promising if they actually do this I might actually buy my first EA game since "Need for Speed: Underground 2" to clarify I haven't got any EA titles since that one
WrathOfDeadguy
Not good enough unless they remove the DRM from all the titles on the market now as well.
nmilek
Far to little to late, EA wont ever see a penny from me again unless i get a full refund, same with valve.
PureSnipe
Finally a good idea from EA. The best copy protection I've ever seen come from those nitwits was on BF2142, where you install the game and register an account on their site to play it. The game can only be installed and played on that account then.
JimboUK
About time, all DRM ever done was punish those of us who paid for the game. How was making the genuine version inferior to the pirate version ever going to tackle piracy? I don't know what the answer is but treating paying customers like thieves isn't it. Michlo
It seems they have gone further and are offering a tool to remove DRM: http://gaygamer.net/2009/04/ea_releases_dr...gement_and.html
Vagrant0
It seems they have gone further and are offering a tool to remove DRM: http://gaygamer.net/2009/04/ea_releases_dr...gement_and.htmlExcept that this also disables the product from being used... Essentially, this is the promised "way to get around the 3 install thing" that came with Spore, and that we were promised almost 6 months ago. Halororor
EA has taken to playing the good guys lately. It's mostly Blizzard that's doing the bad guy thing lately.
XanAlderon
EA has taken to playing the good guys lately. It's mostly Blizzard that's doing the bad guy thing lately. Blizzard are pure evil, Blizzards CEO Bobby Kotick said he passed on the likes of 50 Cent: Blood on the sand and Ghostbusters because "they don't have the potential to be exploited every year on every platform with clear sequel potential and the potential to become $100 million dollar franchises"
