edstamos1
Speaking of being able to run this game, what video card was used to take these screenshots?<{POST_SNAPBACK}> since it's still in development, i would say the machine is running something out of 3dlabs
Slaiv
Speaking of being able to run this game, what video card was used to take these screenshots?<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Dunno. Since they're official screens, probably an X800 XT. Although it might be an Nvidia. At any rate, it probably cost upwards of $500 USD.
Guest
Would be really good if it used the source engine by Valve (HL2 graphics)+ it will take a while to build loads of mods like with ES3: Morrowind--Unstoppable, Indestructable, Unpredictable, I'm gonna CRUSH any defender who come into my way!yee---ah, Boo---eeyy! :angry2:
Slaiv
It'll have better graphics than Half Life 2. Don't know about physics. ...it will take a while to build loads of mods like with ES3: Morrowind...I hope you arent saying that mods are easier to make for Half Life 2. There will be unimagineably greater and more numerous mods for Oblivion than for HL2.
Tammo_Korsai
*Drools, narowly missing the keyboard*That's some sweet graphics, they overused shinyness in the second shot.

Slaiv
Cool. See if you can find it - sounds interesting [i too can read German.] Anyway, I already have the 56K warning, so I might as well add the latest batch of screenies from BethSoft [including the first first-person shot with a weapon.] Here they are - one was in the GI article, but the other two are new [to my knowledge]. http://www.morrowind.com/images/art/obliv/obliv10B.jpg http://www.morrowind.com/images/art/obliv/obliv11B.jpg http://www.morrowind.com/images/art/obliv/obliv12B.jpg Still think they overdid the bloom... EDIT: Woohoo, I killed the formatting! Actually, Dark0ne - you could try and make a "liquid" format, where the borders always meet, but the size of a page can be expanded when required [so that it won't look ugly.] Just a suggestion... Luthiel_Dragonsoul
ok all something has been disturbing me for a while, in one of the first posted screen shots, the one of the outdoor ruins, if u save it to ur pc, and view it bigger you can see almost a rope like contraption on the far left rock slab, any ideas on what this might be?, yours sincerelyLuthiel Dragonsoul
Slaiv
Nope. Too dark to see. It could just be rope.
Dark0ne
Check out http://www.tessource.net/content/oblivion/screenshots.php for all 15 currently published screenshots. I too think they've really overdone the lighting in some areas. Not sure if bloom is the technical term or not (I really don't know! Technical graphic terms have never been my strong point!) but everything looks far too "shiney".
