Deployment necessary, repeatedly

Ever since the last update (I think), every time I start up Vortex it pops up with "Deployment necessary", even though I haven't installed any new mods since the last time, and the time before that.

Not a fun change.

I still have "Deploy Mods when Enabled" set to on in settings.

Is there some other setting I can change to go back to not seeing this pop up every time I start Vortex?

Based on the topic title, I had assumed that the prompt was appearing over and over but if I understand your complaint is that it happens exactly once at startup?

Perhaps you can provide more info such as the game you are managing to provide context to the problem. It may be that the game has some kind of config that needs to change on startup and prompt a deploy to refresh some files.

Sorry. Running Fallout 4. Until (about?) the time of the last vortex patch, once I had mods installed, I could restart (PC and/or vortex) and just jump into the game. Since the patch it seems I have to manually hit the deploy button.

Yes it's only a niggling thing, which is why it took me so long to query it, but as with more annoyances it grows with repetition so I was hoping I'd missed a setting somewhere.

For Fallout 4 nothing springs to mind that would cause it. What I'd suggest is, next time you restart it and the notification appears, send a bug report in Vortex including your log. This will help the devs understand what happened to cause the prompt to re-appear.

if you deploy then start the game, then quit the game, then quit/restart vortex and start the game, what happens?

Deploy > Play > Quit > Quit & Restart Vortex > ... Vortex requires me to deploy again before the game will re-start, despite not changing any mods etc during that cycle
