Ukraineboy
Im wondering. I have only gotten a little far in the Imperial Legion missions (too be honest, i havent finished the first one yet) Im wondering, in Morrowind is there going to be any actual Battles? like I mean, you stand side by side with other Imperial Legionnaires and you charge against a bunch of.. uhh.. w/e. Also, if there isnbt, is there a mod out there that will add some of those kinda battles? thanks
MajKrAzAm
No it would lag too much and I dont think there is a mod about that, but I heard of a mod which allows you to create a Stronghold and you with your small army attack other strongholds. Thats probably the closest thing you''ll get as far as I know. -MajKrAzAm
Slaiv
For elaboration: No. The system memory needed to hold and run all of the NPC's AI scripts would be massive. So, if anyone tried that without a truly-uber computer, it would be a slideshow. My suggestion: Buy Rome: Total War. And wait for Oblivion. Ukraineboy
I already have RTW. edstamos1
and with Oblivion, from what I know its only for Xbox 2... and I play morrowind on PC and i have no intentions on buying Xbox 2 or Xbox 1 or PS2 or gamecube for that matter<{POST_SNAPBACK}> no. they're using the xbox 2 as a technological basis for developing the engine. they haven't "officially" declared any consoles to be released on. however, unofficially it WILL be released on xbox2, and probably on other consoles as well, since there's no reason not too. morrowind was they're venture into the console market - i don't think they'd go exclusive with what is supposed to be the final Elder scrolls game... It'll be released on XBox Next undoubtedly, but you might want to get your story straight. Like ED said: They're using the Xbox 2 as a technological basis for developing the engine. Dinin
When it comes to large battles, if you do the expansion Tribunal quests, you may encounty something that might appeal to you. I dont' think it will be quite what you're looking for, but you might be satisfied.
Guest
To be honest, i think if Oblivion were to go Xbox exclusive, Bethesda Sodtware would lose loads of potential fans and probably most of the community. As far as i know, the whole thing is going to be released on PC and whatever consoles they choose to release Oblivion on. If it were to be Xbox exclusive...... :shifty: ....... blood will be spilled.... :whistling:
Abramul
Couple times in Trib, I got all the guards in the Plaza to attack me, only to have the game crash. I think that was only 5-10 enemies...
Kaningutten
Ukraineboy; The closest thing I can think of to 'mass-battles' is an official mod released by Bethesda called 'Siege at Firemoth'. You get three companions, and then you have to sail to an island and take on hordes of skeletons! I can understand why no mass battles were in the original Morrowind, though; You'd need pretty good space to ensure that the fighters didn't get 'stuck' in each other, and it's almost impossible not to hit friendlies in a cramped up battle! But Siege of Firemoth is a cool mod, and though there were some problems in the narrow corridors of the Fort, I recommend you to try it... You can download it at Elderscrolls.com!
