Skotte
That's really just a shortcut I have a feeling you will find it at "C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Fallout 3" warning: Vista can give you trouble for having Fallout in the "program files" my install is at "D:\Games\Bethesda Softworks\Fallout 3" And Vista is fine with it. nosisab
ok so i have my data folder open. how do i unpack the Textuers.bsa file should i use Fallout mod manager or the other one or doesnt it matterYou don't need to unpack BSA files. Most mods will have the ESP and the folders like /textures, /meshes, /sound... that is what you see when using 7-zip (or another unpacker that can do the job), and so you will unpack all then directly into the /data folder. If what you see in the 7-z is the own /data, such mod is meant to be unpacked directly into the install folder (the one that have the /data) If is something like a folder with the mod name or something else you see, this kind of mod is meant to be unpacked into a temporary folder and you must move determined files and folders second the mod's instructions (documentation, most of times a README file). This commonly implies some choices about the parts of the mod you want to install (they may be even conflicting among themselves so only one must be installed) If the mod is packed as an OMOD, you must activate it using FOMM. By default FOMM will seek for the omods in its /mod folder, but this is configurable and the omod may be somewhere else, so you must locate it so it will show up in the window. Every case above you shall mark the ESP as active at the FOMM's left window, though omods shall do it automaticly this is mandatory for the others installations modes. Smosh
Which mod are you trying to install? If you let me know I'll walk you through it. A quick question though. Have you ticked the mod in FOMM or the launcher? That's assuming the mod comes with an esp file.
