DankTemplar Posted June 8, 2022 Posted June 8, 2022 How to replicate this 'bug' Download 2 Collections which share mods and install them both on 1 profile (skip the overlapping mods for the 2nd Collection install, select Ignore or not in the collections page...won't matter) Uninstall the 2nd Collection you just installed (the one where you didn't install overlapping mods) and delete the archives when prompted. Result: mods from Collection 1 will be deleted when Collection 2 is deleted if that mod is listed on both Collections. Basically, Vortex isn't differentiating pre-existing mods from mods in Collections so when you say to Vortex "Hey, I want you to delete that Collection" Vortex will say "Alright, I'm going to delete everything that Collection is listed as having!" when it should say "Alright I'm going to delete everything that this Collection downloaded and installed!".
Community Manager Pickysaurus Posted June 9, 2022 Community Manager Posted June 9, 2022 Not sure this qualifies as a "severe bug" but it's something we've had reports about via the Collections feedback system (at the top of Vortex's Collections section) and have a ticket in to improve.
dizietemblesssma Posted June 9, 2022 Posted June 9, 2022 Actually I'd hope that the behaviour took account of collections installed afterwards: "Alright I'm going to delete everything that this Collection downloaded and installed!" "unless it is still in use by another collection"!:) diziet
