Vortex installs Configuration Manager duplicates on load

Every single time I load Vortex it installs a new "Configuration Manager" instance to my Valheim mod list.

 

I've attached some images so you can see what I mean...

 

In "InstallPopUp" you can see how it pops up when I load the program. If I click "Add Variant" I end up with loads of variants (see "VariantList") and if I click cancel it adds a new entry, which is why multiple entries (see ExtraConfigManagers)

 

It just won't stop!

 

Is there a fix for this? I have no idea how to stop it.

When you say in-app feedback, do you mean Vortex? I don't see any place to leave feedback.

 

Also, the "Valheim Support" mod from your link isn't one I have ever installed. Neither is "Configuration Manager" for that matter.

 

All I did is install Vortex, found Valheim and clicked the button to add it to "Managed" and it automatically installed "Configuration Manager" for me, and a duplicate on every program launch since.

 

Honestly I don't even know what it is. I am not sure if it has anything to do with Bepinex but I installed that manually to my Valheim folder before installing anything through Vortex because I had seen it wasn't listed on NexusMods and you had to do it manually if you wanted to use Vortex to manage valheim mods, so I am kind of confused.

To access Vortex feedback, open the dashboard and click on the three vertical dots found in the upper right of the screen.

So the link I provided leads to the Vortex extension you are using for Valheim. This extension installs BepInEx and the Config Manager. Essentially, the bug will be in that extension.

 

As Augusta said, you can send feedback via the top-right menu.
