Deleted56553237User
I watched the tutorial video three times now, making roombounds is probably the easiest thing you can do in the CK, but they are NOT WORKING FOR ME, and it's driving me insane. Anyone run into this issue? I know for a fact, I swear to God, that I am doing it right. I have spend the good half of two hours trying to find an answer (or bug verification) in google and absolutely nothing. Basically have to scrap the seven dungeons I just made if I can't figure this out... Or I won't have any shadows in my dungeons.

Hey Soarenb, have you tried to copy one room bound and move it so that it snaps to grid right next to the original? Also, I believe you can hit Q while one is highlighted and select another so that that one snaps to another. I believe Q is what you hit. Make sure your "snap to grid" is not some weird odd number. greyday01
Two things edit the size of the roombounds so they are exactly a multiple of 4 or 8 in every dimension. Them make sure snap to grid is set to 4 or 8 and the bound edges should line up with no gaps or overlaps. You don't say how it isn't working. If in one room and looking through the door if you can't see anything but grey void it's a portal problem. Either the portal is missing or not linked correctly. Can you see the portal between the rooms? With it selected do you see the arrows pointing to the center of the two rooms?
maxarturo
To add to the post of above: Every time you create a 'Roombound' box, move it so that it will snap to the cell's grid, sometimes when you select an object so that the roombound box will be created 'that' first roombound box will snap to the mesh position and not to the cell's grid, so after creating your second roombound and third and etc... they will not align with each other.
