Adras
Just one question, Luthiel. Do you remember what I said in the Morrowind: Characters post about your character that you 'lied' about? Please stop lying. It is rediculus. Not only did you lie about your character, but you also lied about what someone said in a magazine. And you were basically calling TES IIII: Oblivion game developers liars because of what you said you read in a magazine that ended up being a lie. I'm going to stop now because I dont feel like getting in trouble with Dark or the other moderators. About the races, as said before, I would find it an outrage if you could only be one race (Imperial) and the magic was 'more controlled'. I didnt even think that imperials were big magic users anyways. I thought it was more Brentons (sp?). If you could play the entire game with magic, that would be great because I like both Combat and Magic.

Not only is it going to be exactly like the Sims, but I read in 1337Gamer Magazine that they are licensing the Sims engine. The fantasy elements of Morrowind were always an unpopular feature with the community. Instead, Bethesda is going to respect the wishes of the community and focus on partying and dating. loveme4whoiam
Come on Peregrine, that was a bit harsh. I'll admit that flagrant lying like that shouldn't happen, but that was a fair question. I'd also like to know if the character creation will be anything like the Sims 2, or for a more RPG-ish analogy, the Everquest II creation thing. Luthiel_Dragonsoul
marvelous peregrine, i am glad to see your favorite elements of game playing, will be included in oblivion, Oh yeah!, and any ways, as long as it is somewhat detailed, in charectar customization, not like Baldurs gate or something where there are like 5 set model races, and no customization. yours sincerelyLuthiel (i eat falcon for dinner) Dragonsoul
cactoblasta
Considering the ease with which head mods were added to Morrowind and the popularity of modding physical features, I think there's a fair to good chance of at least the possibility of choosing both physique and face in Oblivion. After all other RPGs all have it as a standard feature; if there's one thing you can nearly always rely on in computer games it's that feature lists all end up looking pretty similar, so the chances of that kind of customisation seems likely to me. Of course I've been wrong in the past, but I doubt that Bethesda would be dumb enough to take a step backwards in the development stakes.
Luthiel_Dragonsoul
yes but once again, it all depends on the depth of the customization (if any) i was sincerely frustrated in morrowind because there was like 20 set faces to choose from in each race, and no matter what your charectar was super buff, like i meen no customization in body looks either, i do hope oblivion has some customization choices. yours sincerelyLuthiel Dragonsoul
Cheesemonger
I have to say, it would add a touch of realism to have you character be a fat crazy guy with pants, and a claymore. Or maybe just fun. I get those two mixed up. Silliness aside, I would not care as much, because if it is anything like Morrowind, you wear armor and you can barely tell the gender, much less their phsyical features. It would not affect me much, unless you really could make fat characters, in which case I shall be making a Fat Assassin, and get me a claymore, and a pair of XXL pants. Abramul
Perhaps buffness could be determined by your actions. If you play as a Nordic axeman, you would be mega-muscle-man, but if you're a Bosmer mage, you'd be as scrawny as a script-kiddy.
Luthiel_Dragonsoul
ya, thats the way to do it,! just like in GTA san an, if you work out u get muscled if you eat alot you get fat, even if being fat isnt that popular with the gaming community, i know some people who would surely like to recreate there own physical properties in the game. yours sincerelyLuthiel Dragonsoul
