I think we are out of stock when it comes to nuclear-weapons here in Sweden (sold everything to you americans ^_^ ). But, if we don't have nukes, maybee we can send our dukes? Now that is real terror! :D Oh... I forgot, we don't have any dukes either... damn... Maquissar
Lol... ok, maybe the US have the biggest and most efficient army in the world. That does not mean that Europe or China don't have good armies. But the point is, war has no longer the power to achieve anything, and the fact that the US has the most powerful army in the world is not even a deterrent anymore. You can wage war on Iraq and get away with it, but... it's true, you have a more powerful army than China, and than every other state in Europe - as there is no European Army yet. But you know you wouldn't survive your "victory".
Dark0ne
They have the biggest arsenal, but I highly disagree with their having the most efficient army.
tyjet3
I think times have changed a lot in the past 500 years. Back then a country was well known because of it army. I think our worlds current focus is economy. Now every country wants to be the richest, instead of the most powerful. Armies will not be a big deal in maybe 200 years... The big focuses will be technology, economy, and society problems.
Pack Rat
Lol... ok, maybe the US have the biggest and most efficient army in the world.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Hardly... The Americans have a strong advantage when it comes down to technology and arsenal but their main force is one of the worst trained. Technology can give you a very strong advantage, that is as long as you dont meet guerilla-based armies... (Vietnam, Cuba, Korea ) But the point is, war has no longer the power to achieve anything<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Actually I think it workedpretty much in irak... you have a more powerful army than China, and than every other state in Europe <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Dont underestimate China nor Russia. The few money Russia has, goes basicly to the army. The russians still produce some of the most advanced weapons and warcrafts in the world.China on the other has an army of a size beyond your belief, but lacks technology, for now that is. - as there is no European Army yet. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> 1. We dont have one yet and probably wont have one very soon cause we dont need one yet, unless Bush gets offended once too much by any comment coming from Europe.2. The UN-forces exists mainly out of European forces
valdir
Technology can give you a very strong advantage, that is as long as you dont meet guerilla-based armies... (Vietnam, Cuba, Korea ) In theory, we should be able to kill them before they see us, correct? IE in Iraq there were a dozen (give or take) tanks waiting for us on the road into Baghdad. We spotted them a LONG way off and destroyed them before they had a snowballs chance in hell. That's what I like about our(USA) Army. It's when we try to KEEP control of things when people start dieing, like the situation is now in Iraq. :( I just wish the whole thing would end and our guys could come back home :rip:
Adrian Laguna
You should stop playing baseball. It is not reasonable to host an event called the 'World Series' for a game which is not played outside of America. Since only 2.15% of you are aware that there is a world beyond your borders, your error is understandable. Instead of baseball, you will be allowed to play a girls' game called "rounders" which is baseball without fancy team strip, oversized gloves, collector cards or hotdogs. Why, I am insulted! I'll have you know that a sizable percentage of the baseball players in the US came from other countries, in which they learned the sport in the first place. Baseball is the most popular sport, right behind football, in Venezuela where I am from. The last All-Stars game contained six Venezuelans (three in from each league). As for calling the final event of the tournament "The World Series", the excuse they use is simply that the best baseball players play in the US and so it is the best series in the world. I do agree about getting rid of American football, it sucks, and doesn't compare to rugby.*Pictures pro-football player crying to the coach about how much pain he is during a rugby match Fun Facts- Baseball was invented after the Civil War by a Union Officer-The oldest baseball team are the Atlanta Braves.-The oldest baseball team in the same city are the Chicago Cubs.-The New York Yankees have won the most World Series, 26 I think.-This is more than twice the amount of the second team with the most World Series titles. Dark0ne
Well the Premiership, the English top division for (real) football is apparently labelled the "best in the world" -- which is arguable -- but does this mean it should change its name to "The World Series" because of it? BS.
Gabbemaster
Football = "A couple of people running around chasing a ball that looks like a round chess board, and when they finally reach that damn ball, they kick it away as soon as possible." Pretty stupid if you ask me... <_<
cactoblasta
Pretty stupid if you ask me...You know what? I don't think anyone did ask you. Go the British Empire! It'll be good to have civilisation back again.
