I couldn't agree more.

The Nexus is FILLED with these Erotic BS. I'm taking a wild guess here. I'm thinking there are more erotic and sexually related mods here then there are actual mods.

It ticks me off to no extent actually.

Most of the people on here probably can't get laid themselves so they look towards videogames to satisfy that or their just angsty little kids in their early teens. I'l laughing really hard right now just thinking about it.

 

There's really nothing wrong with mods such as Exnem body mod or HGEC seeing that they actually gives you a *better* body (rather then the boring default body that bethesda uses). But then people use it and manipulate it for their own disgusting needs, which sickens me..

 

You can't really go a page without stumbling on to these mods. and they ALWAYS spam out the "non" sexual orientated mods. Really, thats what bothers me the most, not the fact there are sexual orientated mods on the site, and I never really said they should be taken of the site completely, far from it.. You REALLY can't go a page without getting bombarded by something like "sexy and beutiful girl save game" or "short, sexy and skimpy dress pack for HGEC"

 

My suggestion is:

 

Maybe they should be in their own catogory or file so they won't get mixed up with any of the other "non" sexual or suggestive mods. Saying that these files should be taken off the site alltogether does seem immature and really looks like a bad move, they could just revolt or something or just get massivly pissed off and annoy the admins with legions of hate mail. Like I said before, maybe it they should be moved to their own file and do not show up in the "latest uploaded mods" section. Something like that. Seeing that the blocking adult content doesn't block it from showing up searches. Lets picture a scenario here.

 

You click on latest uploads and you are scrolling through files (WITH BLOCKED ADULT CONTENT ON) and you find a file named something not sexually related (I'm going to make up a name... like ride of dreams? for example?)

 

OR how about this.

 

An optional filter option so adult related content does not show up in searches or the uploaded files ect. ect. Like the blocking adult content feature. But it actually works and is usefull. <--- I'm going to stick with this one, it seems like an answer to everyones problems, I'm not leaning towards censorship of the content. Merely preventing it from viewing of people who don't want to see the content so it won't bother any of the people not interested or annoyed with the content. Perverts get to have their mods, and we don't have to see them.

 

PS: Type down "sex" in the TESNexus search bar. And see the disgusting mod. Speaks for itself generally.. Should that even be on there in the first place?! WTF?!

I think the way the mods are is fine currently. It's one of those things of "If you don't like the name, don't click". There are no images presented upfront.

 

Let me make a good example here. There's an "adult toy store" near our mall. I can walk by there, and there's provocative things in the windows. anything more than that requires you to take the initiative to walk into the store. This is similar to how the mods are now.

 

It would be different if you were to walk by that store and see sex scenes being displayed in the windows. That's similar to how the Image Share Gallery currently is.

 

Now, I'm not going to cry and complain if they aren't more restricted. I think that things could simply be refined. I'm making more references to the image share gallery here.

Search for something on google, and you're most likely going to run across something considered explicit. That's just how things work.

Its all really quite simple dont click if u dont want im not heavy on tits out and really sad raw naked chick shots (artistic ones aside) but its up to the person what he or she wishes to release i can look or choose to ignore so if u like or not rate or simply move on and if its pornish and ur not happy check ur adult filter, and if u have adult content filter off be sure to see filth or violent mods! and as admin says there are already measures in place to stop adult content getting mixed with the non adult content if the person has made an error by 4getting to tag there mod as adult just tell em ^^

I'm not necessarily offended by adult content, whether it be mods or images, but I have to say it is a bit disappointing that when I check the image share section in the morning and there is a whole new crop of the same old thing. All you ever really see is pic after pic of scantily clad or nude characters. Granted I can understand being proud of your character, but really, isn't there anything better to take screenshots of than your latest elven tart?

 

While I don't have a problem with the suggestion of moving explicit stuff into a separate section, I am one who likes things the way they are now and am fine with it.

 

If I don't want to look at something, I don't click the link. It's simple for me. I can't think of one time that something was shoved in my face I didn't want to see. Maybe because if I happen to click on something I don't care for, I just go "Ooopppss, my bad." And move on. If I see something while searching that isn't to my liking, I pass it by without a thought. Same for threads with "hot elf tarts" LOL! I don't HAVE to look. Hence, I don't HAVE to be offended or upset or whatever.

 

I have the power to choose and so does everyone else. Kind of like turning the channel when you don't like what you see on TV *shrugs*.

I don't even bother looking at the images any more for just that reason. Endless skanky anime-style dolls all doing exactly the same things and almost wearing the same bikinis. Hardly any landscape pics, or good action shots.

 

And yes. Some of us are adult enough to make our own minds up what to look at and what to pass by. I like things just as they are, giving me a full choice of things to fill my game with. This is a single-player game. We can mod it up any way we like. I know I do.

I'm concerned because I see it as a negative trend that is turning Nexus into little more than a pixel-porn website.

 

It is and it isn't. A lot of the most downloaded mods are either nude body replacers or contain fetish clothing (crotchless panties, leather get ups, nipple/crotch rings, etc). But the most downloaded mod that is out and out porn Oblivion Erotic Pose Pack has less than 1/2 the downloads of the most downloaded mod. Still, it has over 200,000 downloads. And it is no more than a little porn game. People are downloading that crap just to watch their little fantasy toon perform a sex act. Now, I look at porn and I'm not here to bash porn. I'm just wondering why we have a porn game masquerading as a legit mod.

 

At the very least, nude images don't need to be included or added to mods that don't already involve nudity (be it nude or partially clothed). And all mods that contain such content need to be caught by the filter.

Anyway give them their non adult links filter to please them and keep the things the way they are. If they can't stop being roused by pixels and want to chastised themselves, good for them. After they will have to turn off the filter to see how much adult some content are and how many pixel pin-up they are missing...
