Bug - Skyrim: The Cursed Tribe Quest - plot error

Hello. New to Skyrim.

 

If you follow the orc, then not join him against the giant. Don't want a daedra lord's wrath.

 

Again and again(reloading), the orc defeats the giant. Then says, "You not going to tell anyone about this." and attacks me. Well, I didn't help. So, this makes no sense.

 

This possible outcome of the combat needs to be covered. I have both the unofficial bug fixes and the creators club content.

 

I'm using skse and mod organizer 2.

Wow, I've never had that outcome. bizarre and unfortunate.

 

Have you played it out going back to the village afterwards, for the final scene with Molag Bal? If so, what happened?

 

I suppose you could always get a little villainous and help the giant to make sure it goes down the way it's "supposed to" ;)

No, it was too annoying and broke my immersion. Not to mention I found another bug.

 

Inside another pass between sides of a mountain, I got some kind of cold breath(forgot the name) shout (had the blow down shout and whirlwind shout). Then, I got the dragon on the mountain top. Absorbed the soul and that new shout was still locked. Got another dragon at the orc camp and the shout still didn't unlock! I said 'screw this' and just deleted to before I got the last shout.

 

I can try again, but I need someone who can download my mod list and all my saved files. I can set it up to just before I enter the camp and just before the giant.

 

Kinda busy playing skyrim for the first time, so don't hold your breath. (I know, bad pun)

You've definitely got a mod interfering with that Orc quest. There should be no way for the Chief to defeat the giant. He's intentionally underpowered.

Also, you have to manually unlock the shouts. It's not automatic.

to outline it a bit more clearly (no offense intended showler)

 

right click on the desired (but disabled) new shout

then expend a dragon soul to enable it.

 

And imo, I'd go back (reopen an earlier save) and make sure he dies.

Yea, every-time I wait to make sure I get the soul. I watched a few skyrim videos for beginners.

This is getting off topic.

 

I'll post again next time and confirm only bug fixes mods for orc quest. It happens with only the two basic mods.
