Icantevenname
Whenever I have bInvalidateOlderFiles=1 in my fallout4custom.ini, the game would always crash straight to desktop. Not even giving the Bethesda logo a chance to load. It's weird because this never happened before, only just recently did this start to happen. I've tried everything else before, turn off all mods, reverify files, deleted the Fallout 4 file and download it all again. It would always run up until I put bInvalidateOlderFiles=1 back into the .ini. Does anyone know what I should do? Or at least let me know where to find a log or something? showler
Seems like this is caused by having files from DefUI installed. Possibly leftover ones from a previously removed installation of the mod. You'll either have to remove it or look for a fix.
Icantevenname
But I've never downloaded DefUI at all. But you may be onto something about leftover files from other mods. Where could I find those kinds of files? Update, I had some loose mods in the Data folder which I didn't originally delete. I decided to delete that folder this time and something in there was causing the crash since everything got back to normal afterwards. Thanks for your input!
