iHateSkirim Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Hello!Well I am very curious, what the fastest method of training Sneak is.... In Oblivion I just made my Gamepad walking my charakter against the wall, while a Bandit was near, which never turned towards me - then after like 30 minutes or 60, I was at Sneak 100. In Skyrim there were all those tricks with doing sneak-attacks towards persons like Hadvar and the Greybeards, but that is fixed since ages I think. So what is the best way nowadays ? Please dont tell 'always sneak when cleaning dungeons and proceed for 4 weeks'.
ghosu Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 (edited) Why not simply cheat using the console and increase skill...quite the same, takes less time.http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Console_Commands_%28Skyrim%29 Edited November 18, 2013 by ghosu
chanchan05 Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 ^LOL True. Looking for an exploit is pointless when you can just console cheat it, unless he's on a console.
CookieDynamics Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 I never understood that concept either. There should be no shame in using console commands... really. Skyrim is all about roleplay. There's no competition, or Ladderboard to compare "the best skyrim players of European servers" If you want to roleplay as an experienced thief as soon as you're in the execution scene in Helgen, go ahead and IncPCS your way up. So then you can truly immerse yourself into the world, without needing to exploit the flaws of the game. I for example, didn't feel a single drop of remorse when I used "setownership" on an abandoned horse I found next to Whiterun. I felt like I should be able to take care of that horse myself, even though the game wouldn't allow me to do that without console command. --- PS: I'm not saying that people that exploit are wrong.... I'm just saying that it's something I don't understand. After all, there's no right way to play this game...
iHateSkirim Posted November 18, 2013 Author Posted November 18, 2013 So hi there, ahahahahah 'WHY U NO use Console blablabla'. I bought the Game to play exactly what it offers, not to press 5 buttons and feel good owning everyone at the first 2 Minutes after Char-Creation. ''LMFAO'' !So and I have already created any Account I wanted played serious crap outa that game, afterwards got into that modding stuff and made the graphics up to its maximum, but sadly all after playing through any stuff. So now I want to play the game again, a whole new start, own efforts and every stuff with the best graphics available for that game. Cause when I played it all around before, I haven't even got a single texture mod - hell yeah ... I already inserted 10 000 arrows and stuff, but I keep leveling legit and so on, maybe gonna get some cool-looking cloth for style, but nothing overpowered in terms of armor rating. So still out for someone with enough brain to tell me what I really need ;d
IsharaMeradin Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 You need a combat overhaul mod that makes the enemies search for you longer. Duel Combat Realism comes to mind (at least the 5.x version). Find a dungeon with some good cover or places that you can hide. Pull out that bow and arrow, fire a shot into the room with the enemies, go to your hiding spot. Do all of it while in sneak. For as long as you remain hidden and they wander around, your sneak skill will increase. Once they stop searching they will return to their original spots. Repeat for as long as you desire. Sneak ability is also governed by lighting, so using a mod that makes dungeons darker can't hurt... unless it is so dark you cannot see.
chanchan05 Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 I sort of don't get it. You don't wanna cheat but you want to use a levelling exploit? Sort of contradictory No? Anyway, one option is the quest for Frost the Horse. Shoot an arrow at one of the guards in the center hall then back up to that dark corner near the door. He can be standing right in front of you and he won't see you, levelling up your sneak. Rinse and repeat. Or you can just make some noise and not kill the guard with arrows.
CookieDynamics Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Nice reaction, That was definitely called for, right? I'm just not going to bother.
ghosu Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 (edited) You are looking for a trick/exploit to avoid the normal way to level sneaking but you don't want to use the console (would even save time instead of placing a stone on the keyboard to auto-walk against a wall or auto-attack NPCs). Good luck on finding someone "with enough brain". Edited November 18, 2013 by ghosu
Aluroon Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 If you insist on simply trying to use an 'exploit' the easiest way to level sneak is shortly after character creation. In the Helgon Keep, when you come to the bear and your related NPC go into sneak mod, simply enter sneak and proceed to power sneak attack your companion. Quick and easy exploit.
