Hotemochick1992
Objective; Create your home and fortify it, then build a small town around it. Main idea: I like hearthfire but i think is has more potential and this could be a really fun and immersive mod. Building a small town around your fortified home giving the player more immersion and having to deal with audiences and what have you, which may or may not be causes for random attacks and threats to your town and or yourself. What would be needed; a fairly experienced scripter, voice actors, testers, and some interior designers. I can do the work on the actual town itself, but this would be very much a group project. If your interested in the idea please support this. If your able to help jump on board!
sonicadam132
This idea seems good, but making a house buildable like heathfire is very hard, i have tried it for my mod, but if you can get more people to do it, i will join in.
AielloA
It's certainly possible, people did it BEFORE Hearthfire came out (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/18480/?) so it can only be easier now that HF is out and providing us with a framework to build upon. I don't have any real modding experience, to my great shame, but would be willing to do some voice acting if needed, and can certainly help with town planning and design. Cardolan
I once looked into how to alter the hearthfire system to allow for quests to rebuild winterhold (as in pay materials, and have buildings appear and so on). Problem with Hearthfire is that the coding is very complex. Even to mod, you need to be on your toes, cos it's hellish to do.
Hotemochick1992
I'm aware of this, which I why I wish to enlist some help. I'm sure someone can do it. I'm just terrible at scripting.
sonicadam132
This is also why i offed to help, but with help, I'm not bad at scripting but I'm not great, as i said i tried to do it, but decided to leave it for a later date, for when my mod is more developed

BleydThePirate
There already are a couple of mods that add the whole town upgrade package, but they only work with preexisting Hearthfire plots. Having not tried them out, I couldn't tell you how the system of adding buildings or hiring guards is done. Still they might be worth checking out and seeing if they work for you or if you would rather have a completely new mod that can fulfill the idea of hosting your own court and having to defend a city from real attacks. Sulhir
Perhaps the authors of those mods would be good to collaborate with and I'm a good tester! And I have a mic but no audio software... I've also been working on my interior design for a house mod that seems as if it will never be finished! (learning to script may be helping, but I'm not an experienced scripter)
