DELIDVUZ Posted November 8, 2022 Posted November 8, 2022 Good day to you all. I change the mod staging Folder, from C: the main hard drive to D: my external hard drive. Now, Vortex says that no method to deployment is available. I read the info, but I think that I didn't something wrong. Maybe I am just stupid. Thank you all for your help.
showler Posted November 8, 2022 Posted November 8, 2022 What drive is the game on? Game and mods have to be on the same drive.
rmm200 Posted November 9, 2022 Posted November 9, 2022 Also - check how your hard drive is formatted. Not all formats are supported. Just NTFS - if I recall correctly.

showler Posted November 9, 2022 Posted November 9, 2022 Does your staging folder need to be on the external drive? It will likely affect your performance. If you could move your downloads folder to the external drive instead, that would be better.
DELIDVUZ Posted November 10, 2022 Author Posted November 10, 2022 The main reason I change the drive is, that I have too many mods (700 to 800) and so I changed first the download folder and later the staging folder to save place for the mods to my external drive.
showler Posted November 10, 2022 Posted November 10, 2022 Yeah, in that case you'll likely need to move your game to the external drive as well. Or find something else to move to the external drive to make room for your game and mods on the internal drive.
DELIDVUZ Posted November 10, 2022 Author Posted November 10, 2022 Okay. I am going to move the game to the external drive as well and hope it is working again.
rmm200 Posted November 10, 2022 Posted November 10, 2022 Since this was not mentioned before: Your Mod Staging folder must be on the same drive as it's game. It can be internal, it can be external.Network drive not recommended for performance reasons. And it has to be formatted correctly. If not, you will get a message that no deployment methods are available.
DELIDVUZ Posted November 13, 2022 Author Posted November 13, 2022 Okay. I don't know why, but the game doesn't start anymore. I did a data search for missing or broken data and then started it again, but it doesn't even open. Both game and staging folder are on the external.
