mort82
Do any of you actually know what the problem with the patch is that causes mods to crash? I'm asking because I have 1.5 and I want to try to *fix* my own personal mods as well as the mods I use to be compatible. I'm absolutely not interested in any replies telling me to reinstall and use that fake patch, if I wanted to do that, I would have done it already. I've tried removing all "persistent" items and npcs from exterior cells, to no avail, still CTDs on me.
Craigsters
If you have custom races and player made houses installed they might be the cause of your problem, try playing without them and see if thet helps!..
TGBlank
Anything on an esp placed on any cell of the world that is not persistent, as well as any custom npc created in an esp, won't work.Sorry kiddo, sticking with 1.5 is very unwise at this point. Tis the emboldened portion caught my eye. The persistent thing I'm getting closer and closer to believing 150%. The NPC thing though... Angel has been my safest follower to have along without crashing. An untouched Fawkes as my only follower from Raven's Rock, back to the Citadel (taking the long route over ground, as opposed to fast travel, to pick up my other companions and play with my new incinerator :whistling: ) got me more crashes than after I ditched him, parked my other followers, and just kept Angel with me. Angel is the companion from the slave raider mod, for any who don't know.
mort82
Ok, the mods I'm specifically trying to fix right now are the Real Injuries and Primary Needs mods. I've removed all references to Items added by the mods inside all Cells (interior and exterior). As far as I can tell it doesn't add any new NPCs, and definitely no races or new houses. It does edit pre-existing NPCs such as the Doctors, but not the NPCs themselves, just the scripts for Doctor Costs.
