Arthmoor
But know this, if any mod is uploaded with content from a DLC that does not require the DLC (in any shape or form), it will be removed. NOTE: Texture replacers are an exception since the textures will not "work" without the DLC. ;) LHammonds Someone can shoot me later for asking this then, but it's been bugging me long enough so it needs asking. How does that affect something like a texture replacement patch for SI that also has meshes with altered flags on them? None of that is going to work on its own without SI because something still has to actually display the stuff.

Uploading a new texture for the DLC as a replacer can be perfectly legit as it can be done without using any original content from the DLC. However, if you include the model (original or modified), that means you are uploading content from the DLC...which is not technically allowed I think. But if you make a plugin that requires the DLC to be present before it will work then you might be OK and Bethesda won't have to come knocking on your door. Then again, they might if pressed. That is why I call it a gray area and why I refuse to mod something with that kind of licensing. It seems like a dang minefield of legality Bethesda does not want to touch but if forced, they will side with the legal aspect of "no content from the DLC can be uploaded" SUMMARY:Do not upload content from the DLC. But if you do, make sure that it requires the presence of the DLC but do not be surprised if it has to be taken down based on an interpretation of the "gray" area. If you can live with what's said in the summary, then go ahead and spend your time modding the DLCs. LHammonds
