ZoFreX
I reckon 60 seconds is a little long for a flood limit - I like to go in, reply to posts and get out again in as little time as possible without hanging around waiting. I appreciate that flood control IS needed, having run my own forum I understand that. I just think that 30 seconds would be a better compromise. Abramul
I think we've seen that if someone wants to die a painful spammity death, they use multiple accounts to do so more efficiently. I agree that thirty is more reasonable than sixty, though.
Dark0ne
Its more to stop these "Yeah, I agree" post count + 1 posts that crop up half the time. If you're taking less than 60 seconds to post a reply to one thread, navigate to another, read it, and post your reply then you definately haven't (1) put much content into your reply and (2) read through the rest of the post properly. So post less, but make better posts in the process is the point
Zmid
I think it's fine as it is. In my experience, it is extremely rare to have to wait for the flood control limit to expire before posting.
ZoFreX
What can I say? I type faster than Linford Christie on speed in a Ferrari Enzo. If you want a good way to stop people posting short posts just for the post count, abolish post counts altogether - we did on my old forum and it worked a treat. People demanded some form of competition so we added word counts, which are very cool indeed.
Peregrine
Even removing post counts wouldn't fix the problem. People are still going to post "I agree too" type posts, because of that "must post in every thread" instinct.
tree1180
I agree  Seriously, I do not post a huge amount in a reply or a thread, I usually get right to the point. It doesnt take me a whole minute to navigate to another topic and post a reply. On other forums, I have had the flood limit set anywhere from 0-15 seconds. MDRud216
I dont think the forum posting flood limits are much of a problem however... Trying to send notification e-mails that an rp is back up and running to all the members is very difficult when the e-mail flood is ridiculously high
loveme4whoiam
I occasionally run into the flood limit when posting. I agree that it is neccessary, but perhaps a little high. But hey, i dont really mind one way or the other.
Abramul
Recently, I've hit the Flood when trying to refresh the wrong page--so SOME limit is a good idea. Or paying more attention.
