Why are the comments on this website always so toxic?

I have been to quite a few, I like to call them, heaps. They look like rocks that used to be piled in a neat fashion. Decoration and very attractive. That is, after I began to see them as if I were finding puzzle pieces and putting them together to see the results. It was easy to do when my mind and body was spry. Youth is great.

Some of those heaps turned out to be the left over rubble from someone's life. Rotting, muddy, muck, and smelled horrible. I would always wander away to from the smell that reeked there. Fortunately I matured.

I started thinking girls were all very attractive. They stopped making rhymes that suggested they were sweet and soft, spice and nice. When I started getting interested some of them had a glow. Kind like a peach. With just a hint of fuzz on their skin. When I noted those with the most loving looking glow I liked the look they had.

Then a girl got my attention which I could not stop looking at. Later we made a pact and she went away. Her family moved to another place. Never heard from her ever. We had just about gotten to that part where we kissed before they moved. I learned a lot of girls from her. I was broken hearted and everywhere I looked if there was a girl I saw her face. I was sad. The fuzzy cuddly looking girls started having babies.

Ooo! The new smells. Ooo! The crying, feeding times, and burping. Some times the burps brought up what they ate. Eww!

I was given tasks that gave me distances from their routines. I was so sad I never even noticed all the stink from diapers. I hardly knew a quiet moment with the matured woman giving attention to the others. Being a male I always was under the impression I was a dirty little urchin. I was always dressed to work on the ranch. The cows were all the girls I thought were cute and fuzzy when they were pregnant. My girlfriend moved to the city. She was a two legged critter like me.

I hiked to the city and man I mean it reeked of odors so bad I didn't want to get any closer. I stood on the outskirts for awhile. Just where the air on the breeze was fresh, smelled like green grass. After a time the same thing happened that did when I was introduced to the ranch barn. After awhile I got used to the smell and thinking about seeing that girl gave me a reason to head on into the city.

Yes! Life's aromas from one person's perspective can have a bad sense in the beginning. If you hang around just out a ways from the stench you'll gradually get used to it. If there is any reason why you are approaching the area, that is called motivation of curiosity.

Don't turn around and try to prove to yourself you've become smarter. In the heaps, in the rocky piles, there always were some raw gems. Once I rubbed the muck weeds and rotted grasses away, I found some pretty amazing gems.

Hey! If you're set on going back to where everything is familiar; nothing will stop you. Strangest thing happened after I visited the city. She had met a city boy when we were living in the country. They had a baby and a rough time of it keeping their relationship together. I went back to the ranch. As I was approaching from about mile away some stink made my nose twitch. I rubbed my nose as if something got on it. I hadn't noticed the smell before because it was where I was accustomed to.

Enjoy your visit, finding some rank or sweet words along the way. Judging from your experience in your words. You think everything where you were will be just like it was before you left it to see what was here. I hope you haven't been away very long.

Your sense's might not like some of what you thought was okey dokey back there back when.

don't you think your post is in and of itself toxic? you're implying the WHOLE site is full of toxicity. can you provide evidence to back that up?

if you see comments that break the TOS, have you reported them to the admin?

if someone is toxic on a mod page, towards the author, then they run the very real risk of being blocked from that mod, possibly permanently, should the mod author wish it. but, again, if you see toxic comments, you can report them to the admin and they will be dealt with.

perhaps i dont go to the same subforums that you do, but for me, this place is fine, and its administrated well. i'd love to see your counter argument that shows this toxicity you claim is so prevalent.

This place is nowhere near as bad as Reddit and YouTube and nothing like you describe, in fact your post is one of the more unpleasant things I've seen on here recently, yeah there are a few self entitled users but they're not as common now as they were before authors got the ability to block people. If you see someone being toxic then report them, it'll do more good than coming on here and posting a profanity riddled rant.

i should point out, without any trace of irony the OP has at least one post in their history where they label nexusmods members "stupid", which is obviously toxic, so perhaps this thread is simply projection?

what made you mad? and dont you think posting obnoxious, groundless posts making up nonsense to give you an opportunity to vent is a little weird?

EDIT: Oops! Looks like I posted broad generalizations while mad again. My bad. Ignore this, I was half asleep and barely thinking.

Ok so I'm not stating this specifically AT Redgrave. But the advice IS directed there.

Don't post angry or drunk.

It's almost never accepted as an excuse, unless the user making the behavior has a history or reputation of well... cheesy as it sounds... being an upstanding member of said community.

Especially on big sites like this.

And trust. On big sites like this, staff gets that excuse a lot. A LOT. One staff position that I had, we'd even document such a poor excuse, in case they tried to use it again.
