Reconsider to add "drag-and-drop plugin" as an "Advanced user" option?

First, i appreciated all the efforts that the vortex dev team have made to implement LOOT into vortex as well as the rule sorting system. But, for some people like me, we prefer to have a "tidy and WORK" load order rather than just a "WORK" load order. I know using group function or custom rules could possibly make this but it is just tiresome to do it that way.

By adding drag-and-drop option as an "Advanced user" option and turned off by default, you can still make sure beginner users will have an easier start to modding, while also sastisfying experienced users.

I think bring more variety to the table for vortex is good thing, no?

i think this topic may have been discussed once, a long time ago, maybe.

you don't need to drag and drop plugins.

yes, i dont need it if i just want it "work", it is more of a preference to have a simple way of completely control over your load order. And by searching on the forum, i know a lot of people also have this preference too. So i dont think adding this feature is a bad choice

The current system does technically gave me what i want, but it is tiresome. I dont wanna create over dozen custom rule, a simple drag and drop only take a second or two

why would you need to make a dozen or more custom rules?

what mods are giving you issues, and have you reported the mods and their incorrect positions in your load order to the LOOT developers who can and will update the master list if a plugin is being placed incorrectly?

i think you dont get the idea from my post. The reason most people want drag and drop option is not because LOOT sort the plugin wrong, it does the job good and makes the game work. BUT because we still prefer to have completely control over how we sort plugins, and maybe only me but i prefer to tidy my load order in my own way that still obey the "X after Y" rule

For example, i want mod B to stay right after mod A, with vortex, even if i create a "B after A" rule, There will still be dozen other mod in between A and B.

that is entirely incorrect. you can easily put mod a directly behind/in front of mod a.

also - so what if there are one or several mods inbetween mod a and mod b, if they don't interact with mod a or mod b?

as with all the other times this has come up - there's no actual evidence that its needed.

again what are the dozen or more custom rules you need to define? can you give a real example, or is it a fallacy you've pulled out of thin air?
