...Take what I previously said and add the word "constructive" before every instance of "criticism."

Feel free to add a citation about spelling and grammar somewhere in there while you're at it. Really shouldn't have to specify those.

I don't see why you guys deem it necessary to bash the OP and tell him to leave or laugh at him, especially Dark0ne, who is supposed to be the good example and courteous towards hes user base.

I completely agree with the OP as I'm also having issues with this site since like...for ever (actually 7 months now).

Seriously though, would it be that hard to be nicer to people...

While I agree that Mr. Admin should've just linked to the News section and ignored the temptation to take a stab at OP, remember that the staff are going through a very busy time right now (if I understood correctly) and, with the holidays coming up as well, they're likely a bit testy right now.

Not to mention OP's inflammatory language.

Remember, "Mr. Admin" is the site owner. In other words, the OP was a guest in someone else's house and seemed to be doing nothing but complaining about what a mess it was.

I'd ask such a guest to find the door as quickly as possible too. I'd even hold it open for him!

The OP has 0 (zero) points, he can't scan and read even a one liner telling services will be offline in the news topics present on every nexus game site, but he gets verbally testy and make a wall of text about how bad things are. What a joke.

To all the harrumph dudes, check YOUR computer and make it work correctly or get a better Internet provider than the crappy cheap you have now. I have been around for years before I got Premium and never had/have those impossible issues you claim.

The very few times I stumbled on nexus issues, there has always been a news flash from Dark0ne telling there currently are issues, and/or I just wait some minutes and try again and it works.

Nimboss, there is absolutely nothing crap or cheap about my computer and it works great on all other sites, same goes for my internet connection, this is obviously an issue with this website and tbh your assumption that is must be our fault that the Nexus is giving us time outs every 5 minutes is just faulty.

And getting verbally testy is an indication that this person is frustrated, admins and moderators alike should always be prepared for this and keep their cool, to be completely frank if they cannot do that then clearly this is not the right job for them, even if it is voluntary.

A moderator on this very site once told me that if I had a bad mouthing user comment on my own mod that I should not lower myself to hes level and keep polite or just ignore him, perhaps we should all take this advice into consideration.

the OP was a guest in someone else's house

Really? And here I was thinking that this particular house was based on a community where people shared their work with the public, so in essence this is not one persons house but an entire apartment block and we all need to live in it together.

I'm 100% with the OP, I love the mod makers and the mods but this site often makes me so frustrated just because it does not work half of the time and instead of just waving off hes opinion and telling him to leave/ laugh at him/ tell him hes computer sucks/ mention hes only complaining in someone elses house, how about you READ hes text with an open mind and realize hes not the only one with these issues!

"oh lets bash the dude with only 2 posts telling the truth", good job guys.

The problem is this..there is much news posted clearly about these issues. The staff (the coders and Dark0ne) have been working for months to upgrade, connect, fix, squash and do many other things to make this site bigger, better and more functional for everyone. There have been days I too, wanted to put my hand in a meat grinder before I tried to load a page here. Skyrim increased the useage of this place far beyond what anyone thought.

People care, people have been working their arses off to make this better. Every time they have worked on the site after the initial bug squashing it has run better. Right now (and I don't use NMM so I can't comment) I have not seen the site run better or downloads be more fast.

Yes it is frustrating and particularly so when someone makes a thread and only complains and doesn't even bother to read things before hand. It is frustrating to the team that has been working for days and months with little sleep, much worry and dumping tons of money into the place. I wouldn't do it. Most of you all wouldn't do it either.

Now the question is...what is the best way to get the proper feedback to those working on issues to fix them. Is it like this? is it everyone throwing poo on each other like so many monkeys in the zoo? Probably not.

So by all means...give specific feedback and report bugs and if you need to find another place to download mods for a while then do so. You don't want to pay premium..don't. Wait til the site is working as intended or whatever. Or give to the site to allow them to keep working. Or give proper feedback with specific instances, what you were trying to do, error messages, what browser and most important read the news and around to see if there has been reports of your same issues. Simply coming in and bashing things with no specific information only gets people's hair up. We do indeed know the site has been running like shite. We all use it too and me more than many of the rest of you (remember the staff uses mods also...when we have the time.) Now unless you have something helpful to say then perhaps you should go make some tea and toast or read a book or something.

Searching for, and reading the news announcements that have explained why the sites have been problematic would have been a sensible, and you would think - obvious - thing to have done before barging in and yelling about how the entire place sucks.

Being mis-informed, or just plain ignorant before mouthing off just doesn't work in the OP's favour.

Now, there's been a lot of things going on lately, and through that work the reason for a longer standing problem has been discovered - and it's being worked on along with everything else.

Patience and civility is all that is asked, it's not a lot but apparently even that is too much for some people.

Calling a halt to this topic before everyone gets themselves in trouble.
