Change is good, this change isn't

I do understand what the benefits are trying to be and what the goal is in this merger but it feels like a step backwards for the nexus network.

Half of the games I'm interested in mods for don't even show up on the main page so I have to expand the "Show 18 more" so I can locate them.

I can no longer quickly swap between nexus sites via the network drop down. Now I must go to the network drop down and choose either the homepage or the games list.

The navigation seems to be the main issue. I feel like it's 15 years ago trying to navigate one of the gamespy planet mod sites.

So if we ever get around to hosting mods for 100s, potentially 1000s of games, would you like to scroll through a huge list from a drop-down or would you like to visit a page that has that list on there already for you to quickly search through?

We'll be implementing a favourites system in the not too distant future where you can pick your favourite 10 Nexus sites that will feature in the Nexus network drop-down and the list at the bottom of the site. For all the rest, it's the game list.

Read the news. Take on board that this is laying the foundation, not the end of it. If you've got suggestions then by all means make them, but don't be negative 10 minutes after a change has been made.

Here is a thought.

Since the site stores download information for each user and upload information for each author, perhaps there could be a preference toggle that allows the user/mod author to choose to have the game sites that they have actually used to be available in the network drop down. Otherwise, by default, there would be no games listed in the network drop down.
