I'm not trying to act like an turkey, or troll anyone. I really don't understand why some of you have such thin skin when it comes to people bashing your work. I doubt you're making this announcement because you enjoy the drama or like to burn bridges, but it does seem a little superfluous. If you want to leave, then leave. Saying "I JUST CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE! NO MODS FOR YOU!" is just letting the trolls and idiots that criticize you win.

 

It's honestly pathetic. Removing your mods out of spite of trolls whose soul reason of interacting with you is to get a rise out of you, which they've obviously accomplished ten-fold, is being childish and cowardly.

 

And from your above posts it sounds like your somewhat of a feminist and like to victimize yourself. "The boys" are not out to get you, there's not a big sausage party rolling around looking to rain on a lady's parade. Pull it together, realize people are assholes, and continue on.

You do what you have to do, sweetheart. I'm saying this as someone who's gone through the same crap. You shouldn't have to share your work with morons and children who feel their opinion is more important than anyone else's. I have been where you are. Called a drama starter, drama queen, over-opinionated... people just don't understand that in this day and age, women are allowed to speak their mind! I have great respect for you and your work, and as such, your work will ALWAYS be welcome over at you-know-where *wink wink nudge nudge*.

 

One thing that's really getting to me about the use of the term troll here... is everyone's using it out of context. How do I know this? I spent three years being a troll on dA, and let me tell you, what people do here isn't trolling. It's just acting like a moron because you have nothing better to do. Like, oh, I don't know, get a girlfriend, or go to school, or whatever.

 

Dezi, be strong. I agree, the admin and moderators here do a fine job (disregard anything I've said to the contrary; it's generally not a good thing to start rage-posting). I hope one day they can get rid of the cancer killing the site (despite 1mil members) so that people like you and I can upload our work in peace, and know that we're sharing with people who actually appreciate us, the mods we make, and the effort put into that work.

 

Of course, that's just my opinion and it's only a matter of time before some jerk who thinks he knows better discounts it completely. Mind you, it's usually easier for people to just rage-post before realising it's an opinion, not a debate. Argh.

and so what ? I've clashed with several people on several former forums I owned. I left those forums, letting somebody else taking care of everything because I was fed up. I have had arguments with some people and I know they are talking behind my back.

 

And why should I give a damn about what they think or write about me? If they want to lose their time trash-talking about somebody who's not there anymore, fine. As far as I am concerned, I have a life and I don't have the time for such childish behavior.

 

I just don't understand why so many people give a fck about what is said about them on the Internet... I don't. I just make sure that I don't let clues about who I am IRL, so the controversies on internet don't backfire on my real life, that's all.

It's just the way people work. I myself don't give a crap; I just know that there are those who do worry, and things like that get to them. It's damaging, and it really screws with a person's self-esteem. I agree though, it should just be as simple as letting idiots trash-talk because, well, they're idiots and they clearly don't know any better, and they're only wasting their time. But some people just can't. There was a girl a while back that committed suicide over what people were saying about her on MySpace- don't get me wrong, that instance of e-bullying and what's happening here aren't exactly the same, but the basis for it is. It's not nice, and some people are more fragile than others- men and women, adults and children, doesn't matter.

And please, forgive me if this sounds as if I'm taking a dig at you, because I'm really not, but the way you wrote your comment... it was all about you. About how you react to that behaviour. About how you deal with it. You don't know dezdimona as a person, therefore her reactions and her coping mechanisms could be completely different to yours. While yes, it's good to see that you can deal with it in such a manner, you can't assume everyone can do the same.

The absence of her files can not prevent anyone from posting anything anywhere on the Internet. Bottom line is modding is like a sport, every sport has it's hecklers and athletes(modders) take solace in the fact that their fans outnumber the hecklers a 1000 to 1.

 

On the other hand fame is not for everyone. Like it or not sharing files in a community of 1 million + is going to garner some attention. Not all of it will be good but this is true in varying degrees throughout society. If your not willing to take the bad with the good then your only option is to shut yourself off from the entire community and get none of the good either.

 

No thanks, I'll take whatever knocks they wanna give so that i can stand tall where i want when i want.

 

The secret to coping in a complex society such as ours is to only care about the thoughts of those you care about. It doesn't matter what anybody else in this world thinks of you. Stand in defiance of those that really shouldn't have any bearing on who you are or what you do.

People fail to realize that my work is just that.mine. It's easy to say that I hurt those that haven't lashed out at me and how its selfish and they can't understand why I did it.

 

One: your not me

Two: your not the target of it

Three: I don't live up to what you think your expectation of me should be!

Four; Sometimes you just plain get tired of it all.Again when your not the target its easy to voice an opinion of what I or others should do.

Five: a perfect case in point, knows me not but calls me names,sullys my character
