barty14
Recently, I noticed that for some reason, the containers have been taking up to 15 seconds just to close, and when entering a building it takes ten extra seconds to load, which isn't a very big problem but it is kind of annoying. Gameplay hasnt been affected, it still runs smoothly, but just when I do one of these two things it takes a while. I know it's NOT a problem with a mod, or something I downloaded, I have no mods enabled, and it was working fine yesterday and I haven't downloaded anything since then. If anyone could give me some suggestions, or at least a reason why it might be doing this, it would be a big help.

muppetsoup
Do you have a mod that allows you to carry tons of stuff? I bet it is taking all of that time to list your inventory.
barty14
OK, like I explained before, I have no mods currently on it, and I have the settings on normal like I usually do. Just to be sure that that wasnt the problem, I put them all to low, and it made no difference. I havent changed any settings on windows since then, or on anything else. I also tried dumping all of my items in a container so I wouldnt have anything, and it still had the same problem.

Deleted54170User
Just a thought, as the temperatures are higher in the Summer it causes the computers to heat up more. Has your computer been run for longer times, more then usual? I am wonder about a possibility that it may be your CPU is getting a workout that it is not used to. Or your video card could be getting warmer then usual too. I took the side panel off my PC to clean out the dust and left it off. My computer recovered and ran at normal speeds for it while the cover was off. I thought cleaning out the dust solved the problem. I put the cover back on and later on it got slower again and tended to lock up when I was multitasking. I took the cover off and examined the insides for dust and dust mites around the CPU fan. While the cover was off I turned the computer back on and it ran fine. I installed a better heat sink and cooling fan. Works great now.
barty14
OK, well I fixed this. Evidentally, it had to do with the second monitor I had going, it also reduced my fps. Thanks for the help.
muppetsoup
A 2nd monitor on a single video card will do that, which makes sense as it it rendering 2 screens.
Deleted54170User
A 2nd monitor on a single video card will do that, which makes sense as it it rendering 2 screens. Especially if they are two different kinds of monitors. If both are LC Displays if one is older and/or slightly different it can use the same resolutions and refresh rates, and yet, conflicts could arise. To summarize: When using two or more monitors they should be the same brand, same age, use the same drivers, and be the same in all other respects. Or at least near enough so they do not cause conflicts from the MoBo Internal or plugged in Video card/s. Here's another tip. If you have plugged in your own video card/s they will override the internal video card built in to the MoBo, but it is best to go into your BIOS and make sure the Internal Video card built into the MoBo is disabled.
