Some of my mods on vortex will install, go into the plug in tab, and work just fine while others will install and not appear in the plug in tab and won't appear in game. Even if i remove all other mods and try to install ones that previously didn't work, said mods will continue to not work. I've deducted that it's not an issue with a mod being out of date, and it's not an issue with mod compatibility so im totally lost and have no idea what i could be doing wrong.

Edit: also discovered a specific issue with one mod that didn't work that it only plugged in one file from the whole mod, if that helps

Also I'm playing Skyrim SE and i'm struggling with other mods that should be compatible but aren't. For example, I can download CBBE but not any presets for it. It's not limited to just that, but i can install some graphic mods but not others, and all UI mods don't work in game

You'll need to give some details regarding what game and what mods you are having trouble with I'm playing Skyrim SE and i'm struggling with other mods that should be compatible but aren't. Graphics mods and some UI mods won't have plugins at all.

To get them working you should only need to make sure that loose files overwrites are enabled. Usually Vortex will warn you if they are not.

CBBE presets are for Bodyslide, so you'd need to have that working correctly and make sure that Bodyslide's output is properly set up to work in the game.
