SKSE not recognised

Im having trouble Getting SKYUI and a few other mods to recognise my manually installed SE SKSE. when i boot up the game i get errors that SKSE in not detected, yet when i go to the system tab it clearly show that SKSE is running. I did downgrade the game to 1.5.97, but this shouldnt cause the issue, as i have downloaded all the correct mod versions, and the correct version of SKSE. Also when i try to exit the game to menu, it crashes to Desktop, and the same for when i try to load a savegame. SkYUI does work, yet due it not using SKSE all interfaces take a long time to load. Does anyone have an idea to waht im doing wrong?

Which version is your game?

Where did you installed your SKSE, it need to be in the game folder. Best to do is manual extract the zip file in the game folder.

Start the game with the skse64_loader.exe

You need to have the correct version of skse to match your game version and you also need to have the correct version of skse mods for your skse version. If everything doesn't match up you'll have problems.

 

I believe skse should generate a log showing any problems that occurred.

have you downgraded also your mods to the 1.5.9.7 and checked mcm menu ? some mods including sky ui report compatibility problems. if you use mo2 you will get also a compatibility warning.
