I couldn't find anything on internet about this except some old versions of racemenu causing memory leaks.

 

I got 16 GB of RAM which Skyrim gradually uses more and more, then moves to pagefile using up all the virtual RAM and finally crashes the game.

 

I've tried to cut down textures from 4k to 2k, disabled DynDOLOD but to no avail.

 

One thing I've noticed that it increases each time a new cell has been loaded. I tested that with entering/exiting Breezehome multiple times and my RAM usage went up from 6 gb to 9 gb despite staying in the same area. As If cells are unable to unload from the memory.

I also use SSE Engine Fixes and memory manager patch but that doesnt help either.

Thanks I'll try however I've already nuked my mod folder and reinstalled skyrim (I've decided to use MO2 instead of Vortex and remove some of the mods that im not actively using such as Missives). I suspect Nature of the Wild Lands and/or ENB though. I'll be away for a several days though so I'll update the post on friday/saturday

if pcb does not help a memory leak like srmenu is possible- you can monitor the memory use with task manager. if you let the os define the virtual os mem size automatically it is unlikely that skytim ctd due to lack of mem. check if your os hdd or sdd is at its capacity limit. that could be the reason in combination with insufficent memory and vram.

with my 4k ultra setting skyrim uses sometimes the full 16GB vram+around 32GB ram the skyrim.exe it self around 17GB ram.

you can also reduce the amount of memory consuming textures and upscaling mods as a workaround to lower the ctd risk if it clearly raises due to insufficient ram.

Well I checked with task manager. I used to have a 4gb usage at start, then immediately an increase to 10-12 gb If I use "coc" to teleport/jump around various cells (i.e cities and/or open areas of tamriel)

 

Now after simply reinstalling everything from scratch, I'm simply using vanilla trees with a lightweight enb. I haven't started a legit gameplay but tested with "coc" or simply ran around in open areas. Right now mem usage is around 4-5 gb's which is pretty manageable.

I probably messed up DynDOLOD setup along with high texture tree/grass mods.

Everything seems okay for now.
